Sorry you were appalled by the Guinness Draught Stout, John. :(
By coincidence, I had one yesterday with some black beans, rice, chicken, and broccoli, and I enjoyed mine immensely.
But I agree that Extra Stout is better, as is their Foreign Export Stout and Antwerpen Stout and 200th Anniversary Stout.
But I'll probably have more of the Draught Stout later this week for some kind of Irish holiday (even though I'm not even "honorary" Irish 😁) :

Unlike my friends JohnDF JohnDF and 5K Qs 5K Qs , I prefer at-home Guinness in the draught can. Best way to enjoy it outside of a pub in my opinion.

BTW, I recently tried a Guinness version that actually did include coffee. It was OK, but I'd never choose it over this one.
Unlike M Mitt and WhittlinAway WhittlinAway , I didn't choose an ethnically-appropriate beer for St. Patrick's Day, despite my earlier prediction that I would. :rolleyes:o_O I ended up having an American version of a German Oktoberfest with my St. Patrick's Day supper (leftover beans and rice).
