Jon, have you selected your beers to celebrate the annual Coast Guard Festival in Grand Haven MI starting today? ;)
I don't know if it's a big deal for the Coast Guard itself, but it is for the town of Grand Haven; festival organizers claim that it brings in 350000 visitors each summer!

A couple of nights ago I had my monthly IPA for July:

I’ve not heard of anywhere else that comes close to celebrating coast guard day the way grand haven does. Usually it just means a day off work.

About to enjoy a pipe and have this amazingly refreshing beverage on a hot west texas evening.View attachment 1886746
I bet that went down well :) I was on vacation in Austria about a decade ago, and one night, me and my girlfriend went out for a drink with a younger couple. He was from Dublin, and she was a Londoner. The next day, we saw the girl, around lunchtime, and she was quite upset. It was her birthday, but her boyfriend was so hungover that he wouldn't get out of bed, and she was having to spend the day alone. It was only that we remembered he had been drinking Radler all night, and had boasting about how many he could drink! 🤣
Beautiful knife Dwight :)
My 2 favorite beers .

There's an annual German Christmas market where I live. One year, someone came into a bar I was in, and said one of the bars there was selling Paulaner Salvator on draught, but that the guy working there was just charging the same for it as all the other beers, which were simple lagers. There was a rapid exit of folks heading to the German market, and we stayed there until we'd drunk all the bargain-priced Salvator! 🤣

Have a great weekend everyone
