Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

As usual for me the first couple of weeks of August, I'm in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I try to drink at least some relatively locally-brewed beers while I'm up here. This week so far, I've enjoyed almost a 6-pack of each of these (old photos), the amber Red Jacket at lunch and the dark Widow Maker at supper:

Went to my local Polish supermarket, and was fortunate enough to find a (1L!!) bottle of “Chicago’s” beer — brewed in Lithuania! Here it is paired with the knife that I keep in my apartment’s kitchen area to take apart packages. It’s an old Schrade 175, and it sharpens up nicely to go to battle against cardboard and whatever my roommates can throw at it.

The beer, meanwhile, tastes like Old Style in a fun bottle, so I am satisfied!
