Not everyone, even within the ranks of BFC members, reads G,B,&U... And we get new members every day. And this bozon keeps coming back under different IDs (as they all do).

Hi Guys,

Before more words are written (me including) or actions are taken I want to ask for a waiting period.

I also emailed Doc B... and this time my emails seem to have come through. I received one short email from him first and later a longer one in which he told me that a forum friend notified him of my post.
He's truely sorry and he confirms having send the money around the 7th of December last year and also said:
"Also as stated earlier if you like I can send another registered as
in the previous I didn't and yes you asked me to do it that way"

"stated earlier" points to the email send a few hours before the one I just received.
It's just a pitty that he didn't mail it registered like I (we) asked him to do even offering him to send us 10 Dollars less to cover for the registered Mail costs. The $$ would have arrived and/or there would have been proof that it had ben send and a possibility to start a trace to find out were something went wrong if it hadn't arrived.

As stated earlier I (we) had two previous smaller glowring transactions go smoothly and reading Doc's last 2 emails that I received just a short time ago I'm inclined to call what has happened as one major screw-up a la "Murphy's Law".
Everything that possibly could have gone wrong seems to have gone wrong.

I'm taking Doc up on his offer to send us the money by "Western Union" and I will copy Doc on the above email.

If I could post this on the forum's I would because I would like to assure anyone interestead that this matter will be taken care of."

I (we) accept his appologies and like to start the New Year with positive feelings. I (we) will let you know how everything works out, let's all wait in peace.

My concern on this is due in part to my last initial also being B. I don't want someone called or refered to as Doc B being confused with me. Too close for my liking. That and the fact that Piet and his scouts deserve better treatment. Hell, anytime kids are getting to the outdoors they are developing skills and more importantly, staying off the streets and out of trouble. More power to you Piet. Just call and I can have some branches shaken by some rather large and nasty Marines.

I just wish to tell you that Recondoc, is ABSOLUTELY not the "Doc Bart" that this thread was started for even though Recondoc is also often called Doc B and lives in TX he's a totally other Doc.
He can't help the TX bit ;)

This one takes care of a bunch of Marines and I get the impression that the Marines like that so much that they take care of him should the s..t hit the fan ;)
Well what do you expect, Recondoc's task is to keep them healthy and alive in case bad things happen to them.

Chris, as I wrote a few posts before, the initial deals went also fine and I guess that somehow "Murphy's Law" caught up with the last one.
Let's just wait and see what happens, my feeling is that the Mail system somehow also screwed up big time here.
I'm not intersted in destroying someones reputation so let's see how evrything is solved.

two COMPLETELY different people. One I KNOW to be a MAN of his WORD. A very SPECIAL individual who is EXACTLY the kind of person who represents HONOR, INTEGITY, CREDIBILITY, ETHICAL STANDARDS. This is RECONDOC!!!!! This is one of the FINEST gentlemen I have ever had the HONOR and priviledge of calling a FRIEND, and I have very few of those.

This OTHER "Doc" comes from a different GENE POOL. YEAH, this could all be a major screw-up. Cyber Communications can end up in a major mess. WE enter into "DEALS" and sh*t happens. This is LIFE.

BUT, there comes a time to MAKE THING RIGHT. If a DEAL ends up here on GB&U and is NOT rectified IMMEDIATELY, then one party is FAILING to meet his COMMITMENT. At this point, this appears NOT to be a CYBER-MISCOMMUNICATION but a typical EGO-MANIAC who is "HOLIER than THOU" who will do whatever he wants, WHENEVER he wants. YOU DO NOT LIKE IT?????? TUFF SH*T!!!!!!!!!

NOPE, this is NOT the appropriate approach to take when "dealing" on BF. Two formites exchange E-mails. sometimes MANY. Minds are changed, counter-offers made, jokes cracked, and INDECISION if more than ONE KNIFE is involved [Right Ted????LOL]BUT, in the end the words: "IT's A DEAL" appear, address exchange hands, and both formites do EXACTLY as agreed. to do ANYTHING different is WRONG!!!!

Is this formite, "DOCTOR BART" a crook, a punk, a criminal, a troll? Who knows, who CARES. Is he keeping his END of the DEAL? NO!!!!!!
Has he EVER once Publically stated why? NO. His attitude: I shall SUE, who do YOU think YOU are dealing with? I shall DO whatever I WANT to do, WHEN I WANT or DECIDE I WANT to DO it. This is wrong. This is a MAJOR ETHICAL BREACH. Would YOU want this man as your FAMILY DOCTOR???????Ira

My origional post on this thread was almost a year ago. Since then I have dealt with Dr. Bartlett again, well kind of. He wanted to buy a book I had for sale. I was a bit nervous about him so I waited for his money order to arrive before sending the book.. After repeated mailings over about many, many, days, I never got any one of the FOUR seperate money orders sent to me. I guess they all got lost. I finally got tired of the game and gave the book away in a contest at the Redoubt. If you are about to deal with this guy I say Run Away. :barf:
 
This is an old thread and a long one, and maybe some people haven't read it all so I'll repeat the crucial points:

Docbart is banned from Bladeforums. We'll believe he's reformed and restore his membership when he pays off the people he owes.

If for some unimaginable reason you might believe he has reformed even though he hasn't done that and for some even less imaginable reason you decide to deal with him -- IMHO you are selling out the members he has cheated. He clearly believes he has no reason to repay his ill-gotten gains as long as there are people he hasn't cheated (yet) who are willing to deal with him.

We've banned him from posting here and we've warned everybody about him, and we continue to warn everybody every time his name comes up -- that's all we can do. We can't stop him from sending email to Bladeforums members offering deals....

P.S. My memory was in error -- please see I have to apologize later in this thread.

And how is it these thieves always manage to have a major personal emergency, auto accident, eye surgery, or some other incident to take them out of circulation right at the point where they're consumating a deal? Don't they think we've heard that one before? EVERY TIME!

I've got my own problem with an "Internet vendor" (this one is actually a business, if you can believe that) which I'll discuss under a different topic. Seeing this kind of thing repeated just got my goat up again.

I just found this thread tonight and I live about 35 miles from Victoria Texas. After reading the posts, I got the Victoria phone book out and I cannot find a doctor listed in the book by the name of Robert L. Bartlett. I also made a couple of phone calls to a couple of people I know in the medical field in Victoria and neither one of them ever heard of a medical doctor by that name. There is a R. L. Bartlett with an address of 4507 N. John Stockbauer Drive. Is this one and the same??? This guy may not be a medical doctor.The email address that contains "@tisdnet.com suggests that it could be in the general area of Victoria.
 
The only medical type office I found on that street was a Chiropracter's. I may have been looking in the wrong area though.

I checked the phone book again and there is no Chiropractor by that name listed, so I called one that I know in Victoria, and this person says there is not a Chiropractor in Victoria by that name.

Have been out of town for several days. I have a doctor's appt. in Victoria on Wed. and will try and get by this 45*7 N. John Stockbauer and see what it is.

Very typical, but he forgets the key issue: If what is posted is TRUTH, Docbart has no grounds for suit.

Furthermore, if you lack character, you can NOT claim the your character has been damaged, libeled or defamed.

Rather than private E-mails making silly threats, maybe "Docbart" would be better served stepping up to G,B&U and explaining his inability to honor some dealings here on BF.........wolf:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :p
 
Docbart can't post here even if he had anything to say -- once again: Docbart is banned from Bladeforums. We'll believe he's reformed and restore his membership when he pays off the people he owes.

If anyone is interested in his explanations you can search them out; nothing has been deleted.
 
What I find interesting is that he wrote an "asbestos glove" E-mail to a formite stating that he is "well aware" of his name being posted on BF, has involved his "legal counsel" and shall be moving forward with the appropriate action if WE did NOT cease this thread and let him be forgotten.
I still stand firm that he is a crook, his breached his Oath by engaging in serious ethical violations and the bottom line: he hasNO LEGAL basis for suit as everything said is true. I again offer my help in wording a letter to the medical ethics board, if he is really a medical doctor..........wolf
