Bad Beware Foster Impact Devices - Blackjacks

Awesome. Couldn't be happier with mine. Got another one on order from Davidson Leather in the UK now. It will be interesting to compare the two.

Nope. I eventually managed to block all the various accounts that were harassing me, and I took down my negative review video that seemed to be triggering them, and that was that.

Report that garbage to facebook, immediately!!!!
See how easy it is for him to sell through facebook when facebook bans him for harassment and threats.
 
You should definitely report Scott Foster of Foster Impact Devices to your local authorities and his for the threats against you, including the picture of you and your wife and the request for your address. First to protect yourself, and second so this unstable person is on LEO radar or as background info if he escalates with someone else in the future.
 
I recently was in the market for a sap or a black jack. I found foster weapons and was pretty odd about the whole cult thing on facebook and how its a masturbation circle for him and his products. you cant just place a order like a regular business. After looking at some of the posts on this thread i think i made the right decision by not buying. i unfollowed the group and will not be buying. Thank you for telling your experiences.
 
Oh and by the way, if hes in a different state locals may brush it off because it is an FBI case since its interstate. And I wonder if he has a business registered with the IRS? Might be worth a few phone calls,lol Let the FBI look at this stuff and decide if hes a potentially dangerous person, after that its on them.
IRS loves to go after cheaters, after that its all on them....

Ohio Revised Code § 2923.11 Weapons control definitions.
As used in sections 2923.11 to 2923.24 of the Revised Code:
(A) "Deadly weapon" means any instrument, device, or thing capable of inflicting death, and designed or specially adapted for use as a weapon, or possessed, carried, or used as a weapon.

DD Whips jacks are not made for striking anything. The handle knot is glued and tacked on with two flimsy tacks. When swung hard it will fly off and the jack will fly out of your hand. Dan knows this and doesn't care. He is a deceitful person trying to pawn off crappy workmanship with quality. Do not waste your money.

Sounds like you had a bad experience, I'm sorry to hear that. It sucks to be disappointed by a product.

My experience with Dan has been positive. I've had 2 jacks custom made, and bought 2 "off the shelf". The customs were ready in about a week or so. Very fast turn around. Dan has always been quick to communicate and pleasant to work with.

As to the construction, I can't really speak to that. Mine are all cable core models and seem very well made. Granted, I haven't put these jacks to their traditional use, seeing as that is beating on human beings. I feel like, if I were to have one come apart on me, that Dan would fix me right up.
Your post made me check the heel knots on my jacks and they seem solid, but again, I'm no leatherworker so I can't really tell how the parts are joined. I sure wouldn't want to be smacked with one, haha!

I bought a few from Scott several years ago without issue. They were well made. I’ve also gotten some impact weapons from Greenman Leather out of Canada which are very good. The two on the left are from Greenman Leather and the cable jack is called the Teamster.View attachment 1494624
 
I suppose you know this, but in Ohio these days you can lose your liberty if caught carrying a concealed blackjack or selling, lending, or gifting the same.
