Daniel Wilson of Fairborn Ohio. Do not deal with this POS, as he is a cheat, a liar, and a scumbag. He uses a couple of names on forums, but thats his actual name and town.



This is one of the very few times I've ever posted a negative comment here - beware of this creep.
 
How about some facts? All you've done so far is call him names. People who don't know you aren't going to be convinced that way.
 
Sorry Cougar, you are right. However, this is only the second time in my 10 years on BF that I'm posting a negative comment and I am loathe to be too dramatic.

The fact is I simply want to warn my fellow forum members of a name they should be wary with, without going into the specifics. To the degree that my reputation here carries any weight, it will serve that purpose.
 
Stop and think about that a minute. How would you like it if someone called you "a cheat, a liar, and a scumbag" and then refused to explain why he said that?

Just the facts. Just give us the facts of what happened and we can all decide for ourselves what to think about it.
 
Just a point also, but a name like Daniel Wilson is a fairly common name. By not fleshing this out any better, some other DW could get grief from it someday.

You need to at least outline what happened or it's of little help to any one.

Just saying "so and so is scum because I say he is" is bad patter IMO.
 
Hey guys, a lot of you may not know JBravo but he is one of the most honorable people you'll ever meet. If he wants to elaborate fine but his word is good enough for me and many others.

He could at least post said POS's alternate names/forum names so people will know who to watch out for.
Otherwise this thread is not very much help.

His word on what? If this guy is a scammer, he probably won't have victims shipping to a Daniel Wilson any longer. There is very little of value in this thread, other than to not ship to any place within, what, a 50 mile radius of Fairborn OH?
 
Sorry, but this is stupid. IF you want to alert us, than do it...this is just some slanderous comments right now.
I recomend you stop and THINK about what you have done here...this is simply the type of thread that will make others look at YOU in a negative way.
I have never dealt with you, so from where I sit, you have slandered someone, here on the forums. If he did something to deserve your comments, than you need to back them up..or delete your post and lock it.
 
I guess I am in deep shit since I am only about 12miles from Fairborn Ohio! The more and more of these I read the more I realize about 1/2 of them are just pure crap! I will not go into my reasons for saying that just like folks will not go into the details of why they talk shit about someone here.
 
If you are not involved, maybe there is no need to post. Either the concerned party can respond or jbravo can elaborated. Jbravo was here long before me and does not make a practice of flinging crap.

I hear you...but jbravo's post goes against the spirit of TGB&U..this is were bad deals get brought out in the open, for the forums benefit. Not for name calling..thats Whine and Cheese.
 
It seems to me that if you are going to post here and warn other members about someone or something then it would make sense to give details. If not, that sounds a little libelous to me.

Certainly not my intention to create a problem with this posting - my understanding of this forum was to inform other BFers of (nearly always) good dealings in our knife world.

The bare bones of it: Wilson bought a knife I listed here (and elsewhere), and paid immediately by Paypal. He then decided he didn't want the knife, stating I hadn't described it fairly, and put in a dispute with PP. This is before he got it, and without discussing it with me. I told him to send it back, and I'd refund him the full price plus return shipping. When it came back, I refunded both sums to him, even though he never even opened my package containing the "misleadingly" described knife. So far, so good - I figured buyer's remorse and let it go at that.

I then found out he'd slurred me in his complaint to PP. When I called him on that, I received several obscenity filled threatening emails from him. Really nasty keyboard commando type stuff. So I repeat: beware of Daniel Wilson of Fairborn OH.
