Without his full name and address all he has to do is re-register under a different forum name and he can continue to scam folks. Do the right thing and expose him completely.

Has anybody contacted Str8Edg to tell him about these threads? He was on Bladeforums today, and I would think that if he knew about them, he would come here and explain things.

Maybe Cougar will grease the plank and let Str8edg know he needs to address this or get wet, very wet.................

My error. I sent him email about this thread before rushing out today and I got his address wrong, so he never got it. I just resent it to the correct address. Let's see how he responds.

I shot him a PM today when he was on here just to give him a heads up that this thread was here.

I really hope this works out.

For one thing, this had nothing to do with Bladeforums. This wasn't a sale that had anything to do with the for sale areas here; it happened when he contacted me after I canceled an eBay auction. I'm not going to get into explaining all this, suffice to say that I told him until the tourists start rolling into town for the summer season I'm dead broke. He started this round of demands in mid-May in the middle of an workless 8 week period. I understand him expecting to be re-payed for not receiving his knife he paid for, but now he's at the end of a long line of debts I owe. I hope this is something none of you here judging this ever have to face. I regret that I couldn't send him cash for the knife that was lost in the mail at the beginning of the fall. My knee surgery in October took precedence; his lost knife was not something I could have anticipated. I was selling knives to deal with the upcoming round of medical bills I would have; I wasn't making money but selling them even for cash. Regrettably I have been behind in deeper than one should ever get after the horrific ski season we had. In short I no sooner got ahead of my own medical bills then my dog began a long series of medical expenses. I literally don't have an extra nickel for a cup of coffee. I haven't been interested in the pissing match Peter has been trying to engage me in, and inflame him further as I understand his frustration. I'll deal with this when I can like I said I would. Right now I haven't received a paycheck since mid April. I'm working again; I'll deal with this when i can.

he payed you for a knife....you shipped the knife without any insurance.....the knife was lost in transit.....you owe him either a knife or his money back.....

it's unfortunate that you are going through some problems, but that is not peter's fault.....he has given you 8 months to make this right.....

frankly, your attitude towards this situation is appalling......basically, you are telling peter to wait, and you will deal with it when you can......

and even if this transaction was not initiated through bladeforums, i am glad that i know about this.....i will link this thread to every transaction you are involved in......

I hope you realize you are not authorized to interfere with any paid member's sale thread. That is a heavy infraction in itself.

new, my response to you and anyone else with a convenient view from a high horse is I hope you always get to enjoy it's luxury. I don't live in a world of weekly paychecks so I don't expect anyone who does to understand what tourist seasons are all about. We make our money for the year in 2 season that last 3-4 months each. I don't deny that he deserves to be repaid; I'm still selling stuff off to meet basic needs. I didn't try to rip anyone off; I regret and am embarrassed by the whole thing. If you have never been in my shoes, I suggest you try them on before lecturing.

not lecturing from my high horse.....i just think that if you accept money for a good or service, then it is your duty to provide that good or service...simple as that......

if you are not prepared to provide something, then don't take the money for it......this isn't some ideal that i am preaching.....this is just the way i do business......

Str8Edg: I'm sorry to hear about your current situation. You definitely have a good rep on this forum. I'm sure this will get worked out.
