i can relate to having unforeseen problems, medical bills, sick dogs, etc, i know how shit happens sometimes BUT ya have had 10 months to deal with it and that imho is long enough to set up a payment plan or something.

pay the guy.

Thank you all for your input:

I started this post as a last resort because emails were going unanswered.

And

I felt after seeing his activities on BF others should be warned.

As soon as I created my first post for advice, before I indicated who was responsible, I sent an email with a link. My post stated after being advised to identify the person.

“I have taken all your information into account and am still hoping he will man up, another day perhaps and then I will make his name clear.

I would like to give him one last chance to set things right.”

He did not contact me. But he did remove his contact information from his profile (however it is back up now)

So here we are

I double checked and the email I sent did request insurance as offered for the $250

Great Peter. It's all yours. My paypal is this email address. jeffmichaud999@yahoo.com

I'll attach the picture, and also one of the Active Duty in case you'd like the set. I know you never asked about it, but they've become such good friends that I'd love to see them stay together. I'm going to list the black Active Duty for $215 shipped insured.

I'll get that Meaner Street right off to you. Thanks again. Have fun.

Howdy Peter. I'm probably going to list it on the knife forum for actual cost. That's all I was hoping to get for it. I bought a black one and a green, and decided just to keep the green/green one. It was $242 from the Co. Store
with shipping. I'm going to list it on knife forums.com for $250 shipped and insured if you're interested. I also have an active duty in the same black/black for cost also. Thanks. Have fun.

He also knows that I am facing my own financial problems

Again my thanks

Peter

USPS insurance?
That only covers lost/damaged goods, not unsent goods.

And the payment usually goes to the sender, so sometimes bad people get your money AND the insurance too. Sucks.

If you used CC, PayPal or USPS M.O. you have options.

CC: Charge Back
Paypal: Unlikely, but charge back

USPS M.O.: In essence it is theft and you have a USPS M.O. and his admissions here that he has not delivered or refunded, which becomes THEFT. If cashed and sender does not provide you with an item or a refund, it 'might' be considered wire fraud which is a Federal Offense.

is a legal concept in the United States Code which provides for enhanced penalty of any criminally fraudulent activity if it is determined that the activity involved electronic communications of any kind, at any phase of the event. As in the case of mail fraud, this statute is often used as a basis for a separate federal prosecution of what would otherwise have been only a violation of a state law.

The crime of wire fraud is codified at 18 U.S.C. § 1343, and reads as follows:

Whoever, having devised or intending to devise any scheme or artifice to defraud, or for obtaining money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises, transmits or causes to be transmitted by means of wire, radio, or television communication in interstate or foreign commerce, any writings, signs, signals, pictures, or sounds for the purpose of executing such scheme or artifice, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.

Howdy. I'm working again and I'm going to put you at the front of a long line of people I owe money to. I can offer you $100 right now, and the rest in two payments over the next two months, or if you're interested I have an Active Duty w/ Tigerhide slabs that I've hand satinized; it had a blade coating originally and was $247 + shipping when I got it from BCS. I've never used it, but I did put a razor edge on it cuz it came pretty dull. I could buff it out some more to really polish it up smooth. In Busse's I'm down to this one and my Hog Edition Ash-1 with my name on it which I'll never part with. I'll attach a pic and let you decide which works best for you.

I'm truly sorry this took this long, but like I told you in March I haven't been working til now. Not for nothing, but at the time I was beginning treatments for my dog's cancer; it's always something isn't it? Thanks for your continued patience and understanding. Take care.

And back again...
Probably checking on his sales threads so he can milk the BF members for more money before he gets banned...
Please check my history in the for sale area; I've bought and sold over 100 knives here. This was a horribly regrettable issue that I couldn't fix. One way or another I would have had this wrapped up by the close of this summer season. Peter was incredibly understanding over the last year, and I truly appreciate it. As for markkr, new, and the rest of you who jumped to assuming the worst of me I hope you continue to always enjoy the luxury of your high horses and never have to prioritize whether to pay Peter or Paul cuz you can't pay both. It sucks; and so do you.

I can honestly say I was not on 'either side', forums are a great place to do business but have inherent risk. However, your statement above rubs even me the wrong way.

You did not incur debt, juggling utilities, cc bills, or a purchase YOU made. You took a person's money and did not perform due diligence in delivering the goods that you entered into an agreement to provide. You were holding someone else's money. Perhaps that $250 of HIS was money he had juggled to get himself a special knife, but you chose YOUR hardship as being more important than his. THAT is the issue I now have with all this.

Using your own personal struggles to justify Theft is unacceptable, and I am glad to see that it looks like it will be resolved. Best of luck getting things straightened out.

If your initial response had been more like this and less like a pile of excuses and blameshifting, I, for one, would have gladly witheld my comments...
I hope you get your life together and learn to take personal responsibility for your problems.

It looks like this is going to finally be resolved. Something should have been worked out sooner, but late is better than never.

Peter, keep us updated on how this goes.

Maybe this is going to be resolved, but it amazes me how you manage to ignore the hard questions. :jerkit:

I hear that duck quack in the distance once again...........

"Buying and selling over 100 knives" and you could not make this right long ago because of financial problems?

Quack, Quack, Quack said the bullshit duck....................waddle waddle.

Listen closely......................Quack, Quack, Quack

That would be because I don't answer to you, do I? Unlike the rest of you lifeless morons who spent their Sunday afternoon here carrying on like a bunch of jackals, I spent my Sunday outdoors with my family and not here answering to your Inquisition.

Whatever bro. Take what I'm saying out of context; I was replying to the other moron (markksr)who accused me of taking money and intentionally ripping people off. I've been here since '06 buying and selling those 100+ knives; lately I've been mostly selling. I'm down to two at the moment, BTW.

so were you able to buy the busse CGFBM you were looking for???

Not that it's any of your G** D*** business, but I actually wound up getting three used/abused CG FBM's through that wanted-to-buy classified each for around $350-$375, hand-satinized and cleaned them up, and turned them around for a profit. I bought them with money from other knives I was selling off at the time. All of these proceeds went to paying for things like radiation therapy, cancer medications, etc. In my mind I was being resourceful. I know, I should have used the proceeds to pay off Peter, right? As I get money in large chunks and not through paychecks I was going to take care of Peter, as I've mentioned several times, when it was feasible. He accepted that (as it was a knife lost in the mail and not one I took money for and didn't send), and was willing to wait until this summer.

Peter, I'm sorry I stopped communicating with you over this, but I was never going to blow you off. I simply had 0.00 to offer you in May when you began demanding money "now". Your frustration was completely understandable, and I'm sorry this took so long. Take care.

Interesting.

When Str8Edg doesn't answer, you criticize him. When he does answer, you criticize him for not answering sooner. When he publically sets up a payment plan, you criticize him for not doing so sooner. And when he explains his explanation? He gets :jerkit:

Str8Edg's mistake at this point is even reading this thread, instead of ignoring everyone but thefifth and sending him his money and apologies as soon as possible.
