You kids had better start behaving, or else I'll have to start slapping a few of you around alittle.:grumpy:.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

Keith, don't needle him -- use a broad-bladed knife, so it really hurts when you twist it. He's already answered for all this, again and again, but evidently not enough to entertain the forum.
Interesting.
When Str8Edg doesn't answer, you criticize him. When he does answer, you criticize him for not answering sooner. When he publically sets up a payment plan, you criticize him for not doing so sooner. And when he explains his explanation? He gets :jerkit:
Str8Edg's mistake at this point is even reading this thread, instead of ignoring everyone but thefifth and sending him his money and apologies as soon as possible.

A lot of this sounds like "he hit me back first".
He already waited too long to pay thefifth back. Slapping him around now that we may have some resolution isn't going to make him pay it back yesterday. Pointing out that this resolution comes late is beating a deceased equid.
Rationalize things however you want, but your problems are YOUR problems, not your buyer's. You owed him the duty to get his product (or a refund) to him promptly. Failing that, the very, very least thing you could have done would be to provide accurate and timely communication to him so he could have a reasonable idea of what was going on. Instead, you ignored his attempts to obtain information and basically stonewalled him until things came to a head. And now, you claim to be regretful but show no signs of actual contrition whatsoever. Instead of handling this like a man, you lash out at those who find fault with your....er....rather uniquely passive aggressive response - ie, "yeah, I screwed up but how dare you point it out, and I'll fix things however and whenever I please." This is oddly similar to the manner in which my four year old daughter approaches life.new, my response to you and anyone else with a convenient view from a high horse is I hope you always get to enjoy it's luxury. I don't live in a world of weekly paychecks so I don't expect anyone who does to understand what tourist seasons are all about. We make our money for the year in 2 season that last 3-4 months each. I don't deny that he deserves to be repaid; I'm still selling stuff off to meet basic needs. I didn't try to rip anyone off; I regret and am embarrassed by the whole thing. If you have never been in my shoes, I suggest you try them on before lecturing.
As far as I'm concerned he's a day late and a dollar short. Until he is paid in full he hasn't answered for anything.
All I did was point out that he was logged in twice this afternoon to deal with his sales threads while not responding here and he has used this as a reason to tell me that I suck and to call me a moron directly by name while also insulting everyone else who called him out on his improper behavior...
nothing to do with "he hit me back first", whatever that means.....
i just stated some observations and asked a few questions he could not easily answer....then he started cursing and told me to stop preaching from my high horse.....
are you sure you've read all his posts??? and have you read all of mine ???
honestly, does it seem like i'm the one who needs an attitude adjustment in terms of doing business here on bladeforums????
i know he's a buddy of yours, but as a moderator, you should try to preserve your objectivity in this matter....
and by the way, why are you so focused on me and what i am saying??? shouldn't you be more focused on the forumite who has failed to pay back his debts, when he has had the last 8+ months to do so???
your focus on me is diverting attention from the real issue at hand: an unpaid debt.....

You, sir, are a person that I would never do business with under any circumstances.
