Big EDC Folder Recomendations.

Lots of good options already mentioned. Don't sleep on the Endura. I actually prefer it to the Military, and that offers you a whole different spectrum of steels. Big knife that carries extremely small for its size.

I second the recommendation of a Southern Grind Bad Monkey. I have one that I've modified. Mines a tanto, but drop point is available. You can search my post and find it. It replaced an Emerson Super 7 which for some reason just did not have ergos that worked with my hand. But Emerson has plenty of big folders to look at. The Commander fits my hand well.

Al Mar Eagle HD and spyderco police 4 is catching my eye now that I am perusing the 1281 options!

You need to find a Spyderco K2 on the secondary market!!

The Police 4 is also equally awesome! I love larger folders and have both.

There's not much in the 4" range that will cut like a Military. Like mentioned above, you might like the Police 4. I think that one may be my next Spydie purchase.

I'm not sure where your line for "big" starts and what you look for in an EDC, but check out the Microtech Socom Elite. Nice weight for EDC, M390 blade steel, 4" blade, excellent ergos in a variety of grips, impeccable fit and finish, and great action.

I'm a big Millie fan as well, and appreciate that the Socom is a similarly-sized knife that doesn't feel like it "overlaps" with the Millie in any way. I'm happy to own and carry both.

I'm currently on the hunt for a bigger size edc folder for under $400. Non-flippers only.

My current picks are the Cold Steel 4-Max and BM Crooked River.

The 4-Max looks really interesting so I'm sort of favoring it right now. Not sure how the fit and finish on CS knives is. Never owned one.

What else should I be looking at?

When you say bigger are you looking at longer blade length specifically or are you looking for a bigger knife overall as in chunkier too?

I don’t know if you can still find a Spyderco K2 but that is a pretty huge knife. Or you could try and find a ZT0560 or 0561 or maybe a used xm24 which those knives are based on. The ZT 0452 is a big knife too but quite slim. If you’re into it the Graymsn Satu that is pretty big too.

You could also stretch youd 400$ limit by looking on the exchange and seeing what comes up.

I always liked the look of the Sal Manaro Stingray. Boker made a nice copy of it. Probably hard to find now.

Southern Grind Bad monkey is nice too. I have one and really like it.

Spyderco Police 4

The Boker Stingray is blah at best, I own one. Off center, plastic washers, the texture kills pants, lock stick, a mediocre clip, not ground at the heel of the blade. The only thing it has going for it is a (subjectively) good look. But I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than a collectible.

The biggest folders I EDC are the Spyderco Manix, Spyderco Police, and Buck 110. I love the size and blade shape on all of these.

Oh I forgot about Grayman. Good thinking. I'll look into that today. By "bigger" I mean bigger overall (both longer and chunkier). I don't mind a heavy knife at all. In fact , I like knowing it's in my pocket so the extra weight is fine with me.

Since the Bad Monkey has been brought up: it probably is the knife I regret most getting. Absolutely not worth the money.
I'd probably go BM Crooked River(Custom Shop), BM Loco or Spyderco Endura or Police
