BigBrad75 - Slimey Behavior

I don't want to speak for everyone else but I think as members of this community I've felt like most consider each other a tight knit family sharing the same passion for sharp pointy things. When something like this goes on I feel disappointed in another member taking advantage of one another for profit and then trying to hide it.I've traded and sold many things here but making money was very rare for me. I was just happy to see a fellow brother knife Knut happy with a good deal and I had money towards my next purchase. If I wanted to make money I used eBay not my family here. That's how I feel about it and of course I'm just referring to the non business non dealer membership transactions. There are some exceptions with certain knives on secondary market of course but I'm sure my post conveys my feelings.

Honesty Folks, THATS the problem. If this guy would have just said even something like, "I have a guy I buy knives from that has them in stock, I'll just have it drop shipped to you" that would have made it OK in my book BUT he chose to be dishonest. It's being honorable that Brad has failed at. Honor and Respect is a big thing folks; it's like your word; once you've lost it, it's awful hard to EARN back. Brad, we all do stupid things in life bro but when we do, a real man swallows his pride and does what is necessary to try earn his respect back . Man up and say, "I screwed the pooch on this one" and as a gesture of good faith, send the guy the price difference and apologize to him and Kershawguy (for getting his name wrapped up in this). I'd like to think it was just a lapse in Judgement on your part..

Yep being honest And fully disclosing the situation goes a long way. Hey if you find a custom Emerson commander for 200.00 in an emergency sale I don't expect that if you sell it to me not to make money on it but in the case that the op put out here besides how it went down I get the impression the seller acted more like a purveyor than a regular forum member selling his stuff which I don't feel was right IMO.

I had no problem paying the premium for the knife. I knew what they were going for from dealers and I knew that he was making money off the deal. I don't care about that. I wanted the knife, the fact that I chose to pay a premium is on me.

I started this thread because people deserve to know that a gold member with over 100 feed backs, all being 100% positive, lacks in morals and ethics. He lied and lied until he was caught, then he was rude to me about it. He showed his greed and his true colors.

Looking at the guy on paper if you are going to do a deal with him, you wold have very little to worry about. He has done a lot of deals and people have been very happy with him. I felt it was only right to expose what he did. If people still choose to deal with him, that's fine. Personally, I refuse to deal with people who so will do something like this.

I usually just read these threads and don't post, but I can't help myself here. We have a member with multiple deals and 100% feedback. I think the BIGGEST problem with this whole ordeal now that the damage is done, is that he has yet to offer any explanation to the community as a whole by responding to this thread and admitting that what he did was wrong and apologizing to somewhat salvage whatever reputation he has left here. Idk about the rest of you guys, but my word and integrity mean more to me then any knife or dollar in this world. Without that you have nothing!!! Say it like Scarface... All I have in this world is my balls and my word, and I don't break them for nobody!!

Yeah. I don't usually post in these threads either, but I got to say BigBrad 75 done messed up. He showed his true colors.

Guess this is what it means to "sell your soul" my all time favorite quote "success is not what you achieve, rather how you achieve it" its totally understandable to need to make a profit, especially in todays economy, however dont insult someones intelligence in the process.

And feedback is starting to become a joke. More and more "respected, honest" members are turning out to be con artist. I had that ordeal with snowreaper1 (still havent heard from him, still at a $700 loss) then with water (accusing me of doing him wrong because hes too ignorant to respond to emails) When i spoke to rev he had a great idea i hope will eventually be put to use.

I'm curious what that idea is...

Let me go back in message and i will post it, if im unable to find it rev please chime in..

Looks like it was something spoken over the phone during my ordeal with snowreaper.. Dont quote me but i recall it being to the extent of no newbs being allowed to deal, and only paid memberships will be allowed to?.

Maybe it will be good for all members to have an active cc number on file.. Maybe that and add a disclaimer when registering that if you burn anyone bladeforums has the right to pull money out to cover any and all damages.. I for one trust this site and its mods.. As long as it gave the majority piece of mind id be all for it

Im no lawyer just an idea... Maybe thats why im not a mod

But I'm not opposed to the part about requiring everyone to be a paid member to get Exchange access. Another forum I know of does this and it helps some to cut back on scams. It wouldn't even have to be a Gold to buy and trade, a Basic would do. Gold or higher to sell, of course.

I'll chime in. I tend to agree with this. A paid member has invested in our community and is psychologically more likely to abide by the rules. There will be exceptions, but in general, I trust paid members more when I consider a purchase/sale.

So, BigBrad is just going to ignore this thread? I know he's on BF a lot and he can't even post anything at all here? He could at least post and say he messed up and will refund the profit he sneakily made.

I don't see what is wrong here. It LOOKS shadey, maybe. But $65 bucks on a hot new knife is hardly a big deal. And the buyer was happy until he conjured up some means to feel ripped.

The bottom line is, if you want it that bad you have to be prepared to pay the market value + "marketing/ hype". If you would have waited two more years to buy the hottest new game station, you can get it at a $200 discount. I thought that was common knowledge these days.

What could BigBrad have possibly charged for that knife, seeing as how he was the only one with access to one for the potential buyer? Maybe BOTH of you do have a lesson to learn here.

He also broke forum rules by not even having possession of the knife. It's not OK.

He had possesion of a knife exactly like the one for sale, and had a brand new one sent. The sale was covered from go. Errrrr, maybe? its hard to tell from just one side of the story.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's slimy, or the worse scum in the world but this was definitely not an honest transaction. Brad, show your self, and apologize.
It should have been made clear the knife was with the vendor, and they were simply paying you for the pleasure of taking your spot or what not.

Brad can keep his money in full if the OP himself is not willing to reverse the transaction. I don't see why he has to pony up the difference, by not reversing the transaction the OP is basically letting it go.
All in all: all is well that ends well.
If the OP is not happy, reverse the transaction, simple as that. You have more than a suitable reason to, a dishonest seller is never a good seller in my books.

He had the knife drop shipped by kershawguy. So kershawguy had at least one he could have sold him. For less.
