I'm gonna formally declare right now, that two forum knives were mailed to me in Austin, Texas.
One is on its way to Jack Black Jack Black in England, and the other one is sitting on my desk. I'm anxiously awaiting word when Jack's arrives, before I decide if mine will be a user or not.

I noticed that in the pics as well. Best I can tell with the calipers, around half a mm give or take. I think the pic gives a bit of an illusion that it’s deeper than it actually is, considering what came off. But I like it deeper, because I plan on a lifetime of sharpening/use :)

Word to others who plan to do this, be careful and go slow. A few good swipes would probably do it. I think I had around 10 or so passes (maybe a couple less).

I'm glad the second knife arrived Rachel, and thanks so much again for all your help. I checked the tracking earlier, but my knife hasn't left Chicago yet.

Just to clarify, I ordered and paid for my knife, and by prior arrangement, (thanks to Rachel's kind offer), had it mailed to her address. The first knife which arrived was actually the knife Rachel had ordered herself, but she very generously put that one in the mail to me, while waiting for the second knife to arrive. Pretty outstanding I think :) :thumbsup:

I doubt anyone here actually thought you were the eBay douche. We'll find out who it is eventually. Also the one in Bend, Oregon.

And then what happens!! The bidder gets a non-payment ding and the knife goes back on the market!! This doesn't solve the 'problem'!!!

Geeze, people, give it a rest. All the vigilante "calling people out" and silly internet fake thuggery won't change the fact that people are greedy, and there are people who will find a way to feed that greed for their own profit.

We've already been told by the moderators here that they've got a limited amount of patience left for this issue. Who's going to be the one to push the subject over the edge?

Why not just find a way to enjoy the knives?
