Is your backspring sunk at close now?My tip was sitting almost even with the edge of the frame when closed, so I filed the kick down a bit. I think it looks and sits much better now. I don’t like my tip so close to the top when closed. Still doesn’t hit the bottom when I snap it closed, so I think I found my happy medium

I dont know how to do this could you explain and show which bit you file?
thanks.
As someone who's done it on my lambsfoot, it won't take much. File very little at a time, close the blade, check, and then file more if needed. Only a fraction of a millimeter on the kick will translate into larger drop at the tip of the blade. Good luck!you would file on the kick

however it needs to be done very carefully as you can affect how the spring sits. thats a lesson i learned the hard way
Thank you.you would file on the kick

As these guys say, a little at a time...literally a swipe or two of the file then check. As someone who's done it on my lambsfoot, it won't take much. File very little at a time, close the blade, check, and then file more if needed. Only a fraction of a millimeter on the kick will translate into larger drop at the tip of the blade. Good luck!
Didn't realize that but that makes sense.Filing the kick will void the factory warranty.
Some folks advocate putting a very small piece of leather in the well rather than filing the kick, that’s more for blade rap though and not a proud tip. It might also attract moisture. If you have an issue and aren’t a hurry id just call Joan and coordinate sending it in to be fixed by the pros.I dont know how to do this could you explain and show which bit you file?
thanks.
It appears that you might have a small dragon in your garden….just fyi.Forum knife Friday, enjoying some much needed rain

Its a free world why not.Is it legal to think that you might prefer your stainless 2AB Barlow to your carbon steel 2021 BF Spring Street Barlow?
I don't have this knife I figured it was good to know for other models. Some folks advocate putting a very small piece of leather in the well rather than filing the kick, that’s more for blade rap though and not a proud tip.
