Blade Forums Spring Street Barlow (BF Knife 2021)

Well, until I finally decide what I'm going to do with this knife, I've given it my "punch" of approval, which at least, makes it a "never flipper" knife.

Actually, the punch mark below the Blade Forums tang stamp doesn't look all that bad but it'll never be able to marketed as new/mint/unused.
You'll see it on eBay in a couples years marketed as "Like New in Tube Rare Punchmarked Edition - $499"

Winter? What is that you prepare for? It’s always spring/fall in my neck of the woods. 😃 I grew up on the Great Plains of Nebraska so I’ve seen all the snow I’ve ever wanted to see. Mostly on the end of a shovel. First thing my dad bought when my brother and I moved out was buy a snowblower and a riding lawnmower. 🤨

Lol Dan, I have two older brothers and one younger. We had to push mow the upper lawn and bag it while my dad would mow the lower yard by the river with the Allis Chalmers tractor. BIG yard to say the least and we always lobbied to just mow the entire yard with the Allis and dad wouldn't budge, UNTIL we had all moved out and THEN he did the entire yard with the tractor:rolleyes: 😁

I used to love winter, I no longer do:confused:

It would be easy to engrave a bar code or QR code on the handle instead of just sawcutting the bone - this would be functional for tracking and gripping purposes.

That way, all the knives could be tracked down and flippers and other offenders duly punished.

Still not sure about how to deal with those people on the other forums who just went ahead and purchased a nice 2021 forum knife without all the drama. Maybe best to just ignore them for now.

Lol, and what’s wrong with just slapping a serial number on the knives?

I’m planning on putting something on that big beautiful bolster, just don’t know exactly what yet. It’s funny, I thought before I actually got it that I would want to keep this knife as a safe queen or display piece. Now that I have it l just want to use it and make it my own.
This may not be the best analogy, but I look at it as something like a club jacket. Can you imagine the person that finally gets a jacket for a club they’re in and then hangs it in the closet or puts in on their wall. Not me, I’m wearing mine! 😊👍

My tip was sitting almost even with the edge of the frame when closed, so I filed the kick down a bit. I think it looks and sits much better now. I don’t like my tip so close to the top when closed. Still doesn’t hit the bottom when I snap it closed, so I think I found my happy medium
