This is the first time i have offered something like this to the public. It is a small ax, what I call a duck hunters axe as I have had a couple of local duck hunters have me make one in carbon steel so I thought this ought to look good in damascus. Dang, people. It took longer to forge than a bowie of course and as much damascus as a bowie would have just for the axe. Yes, I know the photo is not good quality but take my word for it, they do look better in person. I will try and reshoot the engraving better. Both have matching stag handles and matching engraving the front of the guards are also engraved. Wolf tooth damascus pattern in the steel on both pieces. This is a one of set for dang sure. Get them while they are hot at the Blade show.

That's a beauty David - you and Lin are my favourite subhilt makers.

Jerry - terrific set!

Hi everyone! You all are puting out some nice knives!

The 14" blade is forged from 1080 and 15N20 in a very tight Radial Pattern. The handle is stabilized African Blackwood with nearly ten feet of twisted 18K gold wire inlay. The guard is sculpted and made from the same mosaic damascus pattern as the blade. There is also three strands of 18K wire in the from spacer. This is the biggest d-guard bowie I have made and the third largest knife total. I am using it as one of my MS Test Knives this year at Blade! I went to Arkansas last week with four of my finished test knives to have Master Ron Newton give me a critique. So I'm feeling good about the test so far. I am sure I'll be chewing my finger nails off when I get to Atlanta though.

Let me know what you think!

I also got to shoot a Ron Newton classic, it was a Shoot'n Newton #12 Flintlock gun/sword with a long blade a 50 cal muzzle loader. It was and is the coolest gun/knife/sword I have ever seen and it wasn't even done yet. You all should drop by Ron's table and have a look at the Blade show. I don't think he will let you shoot it there though.

Thanks for looking and thanks for the great pic Caleb.

That D-guard is just spectacular Kyle! Best of luck with the test, not that such is needed.

This is a Utility Sendero. No engraving no decoration, it is all utility. The handle is stabalized curly Koa, the blade is 1084 with a hamon. Stainless guard and pins. Simple but nice. This will be a draw for purchase at the Bladeshow.

Sweet!

This will be quite the show! Makes me wish that I wasn't committed this time of year so that I could see all of these beauties first hand.

Ed:
Saw your preview and you've quite a line-up of knives. VERY NICE! Hope you go home empty handed.

Roger:
Not sure if you've spoken for this Newton beauty but if so, well done. Love the steel and the ricasso overlay sets it off wonderfully. When I saw it on Chuck's flickr site I was immediately awed.

I wish! It sure is a long, lean beauty.

Roger
