Love Old Tub ! Too bad it's so hard to find it in FL... When I was much younger, I also did shoot hard liquor and beer.
Unfortunately, when you are young, you usually substitute quality for quantity and the headache next day is terrible... 🤣

Tonight's pour, cheers Gents !

But the most you can get for little money in hand.
Been a long time since I had Old Forester. Might have to find some tomorrow

Too lazy to get off my butt and compose a picture with the bottle, but this is what I'm sitting with at the moment...

Decent, not exceptional. But I try to rotate through the bottles on hand.

Yellowstone Select Straight Bourbon

2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold Medal Winner

A masterful fusion of flavors from seventh-generation distillers, Paul and Steve Beam. It features a hand-picked blend of sweet, spicy, and smoky bourbons, each selected to give this exclusive whiskey a taste that celebrates its deep, family origins.

TGIF indeed !
I didn't try before the lowest ABV product of Buffalo Trace, the Benchmark line.
My local Total Wine all of a sudden started carrying the full line of Benchmark and I picked today
the Single Barrel to try.
I'm very pleased actually, for $25 this stuff seems to be readily available now and it'll go from now on for my every day sip rootation.
I'm not actually sure if I like better the Buffalo Trace Bourbon or this Benchmark, they should be the same mashbill but this
I think, have lower ABV and sips easily.

Cheers !

Yes, Balvenie is one of my all time favorites, all impressions

Tonight drink comes from a friend of mine who supplied the Ancient Ancient Age, "10 Stars", not "Years Old" 🤣
Never tried the inexpensive Buffalo Trace brands and this is what I'm doing this week, I guess.
I like it, not bad for the sub $30 price for this size of the bottle and 80 proof.

I'm starting to use my Rex45 Shaman more and more and I'm impressed, I'm looking at it as a Manix 2 on steroids, ha ha ha 😂

Not Bourbon, but I couldn't find the "Knives and Drinks" thread

Close enough.. It’s aged in bourbon barrels…

I brought something like this up a while back. Bourbon gets its own thread. Coffee has a thread but it isn't as popular. Everything else has been relegated to Knives and Drinks.

Is it because this is a mostly American forum and bourbon is our most popular form of whiskey?

I kind of wish we just had a big general whiskey thread but I'm not sure I want to create a competing stream to what we've already got going here. So I guess I'll just pour a bourbon...

This one goes from 8 years back and still you can find it fairly close to the first page.
It's ok I guess, I love that I can socialize with all of you guys on another topic, but knives

I'm still sitting on 6 bottles of Eagle Rare 10 and am NOT touching them because they're asking $80/bottle for it at local liquor stores near me.

Ain't drinking any until I can buy more for less than $50/bottle. 🤷‍♂️

In the meantime, I'm drinking Buffalo Trace for $30/bottle and I'm fine with that.

I've got 6 bottles of Buffalo Trace sittingin the wine rack as well. ;)
