IIRC, the brown Para 2 S35VN was a distributor exclusive... so any dealer that wanted to could get them through that distributor... anyone can commission an exclusive.

Mine just came in; fast response from dealer (shipped in 1 day and delivered 2 days later)-I will be buying more LEs despite the high prices from him. Great F&F, very sharp blade and centered perfectly. Scales very slightly finer and less rough than the blue PM2. Might get second if they're still available, once my wallet recovers.
 
A little off topic. I paid $200 for my s90v Millie in cf from New Graham a few years ago.I got the last 1 they had with a cc#. I don't remember what msrp was.

I know I wouldn't pay $270 for Blue g 10....just not the right color for a Millie IMO.
 
I wish it wasn't priced where it is. I want it badly, but just cannot justtify the price.

your choice, I may have to wait, but my wife will have S90V under the tree for me. she's the best wife ever ! You going to have any S90V under your tree at Christmas? : )
 
you guys complaining about the price, its simple if you think its not worth the money dont buy it. get a Cruware knife. ..I will probably get both. I dont buy every knife that grabs my attention but this one I felt was a must have. the free market determines if its worth it or not. if they have trouble selling them they will drop the price, I doubt that will happen. if you want it bad enough, you can afford it. if you dont then pass on it.

Edit: haha...I had to read back in the thread cuz I was wondering why I made such a douche-like remark. You're the one who wasn't going to tell me where they were selling until they were sold out! Hmmpf...I changed my mind. Maybe you should be getting a sack of coal too! ;-).

I'd totally go for this at the asking price if it wasn't for the colour. Just have a problem with it. Oddly enough it didnt bother me in the para 2 but it doesnt seem right in the Millie. Wish they had chosen Digi-Cam or even orange instead (although I still feel S90V works best with CF - the king daddy steel matched with the top scale material just seems RIGHT).

And then the price wouldn't seem nearly so bad either. :)
 
This is the sharpest Spyderco I've ever gotten straight out of the box. Cutting arm hair is my first test and it cuts like a straight razor.

I think I agree with you, and there's a WHOLE LOT more blue (a whole lot more scale) on a Military than on a Para!
 
Just ordered one myself. I'm not a huge fan of the blue G-10 either, like some others have mentioned. I just want to see what the S90V is all about, as I've never used it. I've really been wanting the Ti Millie, but can't seem to find one. Maybe this will suffice for now, Or maybe I can make a trade at some point. We'll see.
 
Just received mine and I love it. Couldnt afford one the first week or two when they were released due to bills..so Im happy to see so many people scoff at it and it still being available. Even got 2 day ship which I didnt ask for. overpriced yeah...but if they were 140-180, people would have purchased 5-10 each to flip and I wouldnt have one unless I paid 100 markup on here or 200 plus markup on scam bay anyway. Pick your poison. Just trying to be realistic based on the current spyderco market/economy.

lol, sorry about that I mis-interpreted your post. I didn't realize you really didn't know where to get one. though you were being sarcastic. ...my bad I would have told you if I would have realized, im sure you know where to get it by now but if not bento box shops is the place.
 
Yeah yeah, no worries man. I found the knife days ago and forgot all about my little tantrum. :-). The good news is, your second post got me thinking and I dropped some pretty heavy handed hints to my girlfriend about how badly I needed a gayle Bradley! I even showed her how cool your wife was for buying you a military! Hehe. I think she figured it out, but if she thinks she's going to march that thing into my house and tell me I gotta wait months to open it she's dreamin! Hehehe. She better be a hell of a lot sneaker than your wife! :-)
 
Mine is scheduled to arrive Saturday. Excited to see how S90V performs. I just received a S110V custom.
 
Came in yesterday. The Blue is a little lighter than the Manix 2 sprint but vary close. Set it out on my EDC knife shelf in line with all my other Military sprints / Dealer exclusives.



CF / BG-42
Folage Green / CPM-D2
CF / S90V
Ti & black G10 / CPM-M4
Earth Brown / CTS-XHP
CF / M390
Blue / S90V

I am happy to have a second S90V Military in my EDC line. I may not pick it to carry very often but I think I would have regretted passing on it.

I do not feel the CF /S30V and Orange G10 / S30V are a loss in my line up. CF /S30V was technically a sprint but that steel became standard production right after so just not special enough for me to chase after. Same with the Orange G10 it is just a handle color variation on the standard production steel.
 
Mine arrived. Very happy with it. The updated pivot is nice as well. First Military I have had that is centered :D.
