A Great Loss to the knife community, Bob was one of a kind,I was in my shop doing what Bob loved to do, make knives when he passed this morning, I first met Bob at the Kansas City Knife Show in 1979 I believe, my first knife show too, I was in awe of him then, an still have respect for the man, my sympathies go out to his family, we will miss you Mr. Loveless.

I am going to have a glass of scotch for you Bob old friend...You didn't have to know the man just holding some of his work would put a grin on anyone's face..see u again one day...

Certainly a hundred years from today, Bob Loveless will still be remembered, and his work still cherished.

To anyone who met him he was a 'thorny ol' coot'. Part of his enduring persona.

To everyone else he was a legend, almost without peers.

I had the privilege of enjoying a breakfast with him at the AKI in 2003. He picked up the tab. ;)

What a man. I not only respect him for what he did, I owe him a debt of gratitude for the work his knives have offered me.

The world will remember him for thousands of years.

A lot of stars have left us in the last few years. His was the brightest by far.

Godspeed, Bob.

well, that sucks.
But at least a lot of us will get a buzz on tonight. Never knew the guy, but it's what I would want when it's my time to go.

For years , many will be able to celebrate his life on a daily basis thru his work.

RIP

If there is a Blade Show in heaven , man what a list of table holders there must be.

One of the greatest makers and designers of all time

Best wishes to his friends and family

He will be sorely missed, God bless Bob Loveless and his family. I remember growing up and reading in blade about Bob Loveless and his knives years ago.
A true pioneer in the knife world. Rest in Peace Sir,

Rest in peace Mr. Loveless. My sympathy to his family and friends.

I'll have a drink in my hand and toast one of the worlds greats with the rest of you good people at 10pm east coast time.

If GOD needed a knife maker, he now has one of the best!

Prayers to his family and loved ones.

Wish I had been attune to customs earlier in life. When I became interested, Bob Loveless was the first maker I read a lot about. Always wish I could have met him.

R.I.P.

Rest In Peace Bob Loveless. I'll toast at seven.

I recieved and was reading " Living on the Edge" this afternoon when I took a break to find the sad news here.

I sincerely send my deepest condolences to the Loveless family.
For me, he was always the biggest existence.

Very sad, indeed...
