Boker "Tree Brand Classic" & Solingen made traditional knives

Uh oh. 🤣

Boxer Fixed. Slightly larger than the folder. I've been handling this since it arrived this afternoon, and have to say my OCD hasn't found anything to complain whine about. Fits my hands/ fingers great., very comfortable. F&F is top-notch on my copy. Excellent micarta on mine, feels grippy but smooth, doesn't feel like any loose fibers. Only improvement to the design IMHO would be some jimping on the spine (thumb rise?) from the handle to just short of the swedge.

Picked up a Boker Plus Cub Pro as well. Lucas Burnley designed. Its F&F is decent, only "issue" was the micarta. Unlike the Boxer, it felt smooth but like fibers were sticking out so I ran some very fine sandpaper over the material and it feels much better now. Had to do that on several other micarta knives I have. Not sure how I'm going to like the copper hardware over the long-term. Fits my hands/ fingers almost as good as the Boxer, slightly larger blade and overall length, slightly heavier. Nice size and style blade IMHO. Sheath is very cheap feeling. I'll likely be looking to replace it with one of better quality.

Just got this Swell End Jack
F&F is phenomenal, N690 blade steel, wish the pull on the main blade was a bit stronger... but I like a strong pull, so most would find it just fine.
I thought the synthetic horn covers were pretty cool... Interesting without being ugly or psychedelic. Right up there with synthetic stag and ebony. Pinned shield too. :)

That looks really nice John. They are very solid little knives. šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘
A closeup of where the blade meets the back spring... Nicely done!

And to top it off... my BFF is out for delivery. 🤠
If that was any cleaner it’d be a fixed blade. šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘
Can’t wait to see pictures of the BFF. 😊

Looks great! I love my Swell End Jack and the couple Barlows I have. Can’t wait to hear your impressions of the BFF. I am thinking about adding one but need to wait a month or two.

I received my BFF late last night. I think the postman found the package in his rig at the end of his shift. 🤣
I'm not a fixed blade guy, so I'm not sure what to report on, but I can say that every line and edge is as smooth as butter.
I also like the way it looks, very simple and classic looking. When in-use, it feels like using one of my slip joints, not too big and not too small.
It's also really easy to carry thanks to its well made pocket sheath. No different than carrying one of my modern folders. I think this will get used a lot.

Looks really nice John, and it’s walnut.

That looks great and I love that swedge point. Tasty walnut as well.

I really like carrying a small fixed blade (in addition to a folder, of course).

Very handy looking knife!

Really enjoying the ā€œBoker Love.ā€ Since I’m around home today I thought I’d get out my Boxer. It isn’t perfectly flush in the open position, but it has so much else going for it, like the loud, satisfying, ā€œWHACK!!!ā€ and rock solid lockup when it’s opened. This will be my big user this summer when the humidity hits. šŸ˜‰šŸ‘ACAF827E-94FF-4A10-8AA4-9D5D7903FD96.jpeg
