Boker "Tree Brand Classic" & Solingen made traditional knives

Mail call for this Boker single-bladed Stockman in copper/burlap micarta. It's an exclusive from a dealer that I don't think is a supporting dealer, but they are a big store, and chances are you have one of their catalogs sitting next to your crapper ;). Anyhow, I'm really pleased with the pickup. I'm trying to remember for certain, but I just realized that this might actually be my first Boker (though I've always admired them).

Some quick shots from the back yard.

Very nice!

I saw the Barlow after they went out of stock, I'm hoping it comes back into stock.

I’d love to see Boker make a slightly bigger Barlow!!! Not to much but just bigger for more serious work. I love mine but only sees light use. But often.

I think a 3" blade with an OAL somewhere around 6.5" would be nice.

I love my Tree Brand Bokers, I have a few that are great knives.

Here's a couple, a mini Stockman in carbon:

Can you tell I like green bone? lol. I have the same in smooth yellow bone and stag too, carbon and stainless.

Speaking of stag, this is today's carry, a nice little sleeveboard style pen. I think Boker does some nice stag:

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Got this in late yesterday afternoon/early evening. Love the copper and brown Micarta together. Fantastic F&F, really nice Micarta, good snap on the open and close but a bit mushy at the half stop. I think it will improve with a good flush, it was pretty gritty when it arrived. I do like the blade on my regular production Club a little better, but overall very pleased with this one. 👍E5838B8A-3B72-408D-AB88-C1AF9A3CB5AD.jpeg

Looking good.

You guys (you and Knives&Lint are the only two I can recall right now) have received good examples of these SFOs, I hope my Barlow is in the same class. Probably another week for delivery.

Can’t wait to see pictures Gordon.

Like the top blade just a little better. 94A04862-364A-46DD-A061-E6C16F3E169D.jpeg
How cool would a copper and black shield look? Maybe a missed opportunity. 🤔ED157C37-BDBA-4247-8888-F6403779F4F9.jpeg
Had to add a family photo. 😊

Nice family shot.

Black and copper would nice IMHO, probably look similar to my original Integral Copper Micarta - like these SFOs it's also listed as a burlap micarta, but it's a much darker almost black brown with slightly lighter brown accents. Recycled image.

edit - I think I just channeled Archer and his "slightly darker black".

edit 2 - I'm liking the lack of shields as well...
