Bose Knives

Its the first WT posted after a left-handed desk knife? :D

THATSSSSSSSSSSSSS not it. Thanks for playin though. :D

You can pick up your parting gift on the way out...a swift kick in da pants, you rascal.:D

Here is an old knife that Tony probably made on his kitchen table way back in the day. It is a predecessor to Tony's African Skinner pattern. This one is made from O1 tool steel, flat ground on a ribbon sander, handled with black linen Micarta. Made sometime in the 70s. It's amazing how great a job he did on this...made with minimal tools that were available to Tony at the time. The sheath was also made by Tony...back when he used to do that sort of thing. :D

Oooops forgot to mention that the knife is 8.5" overall length.

Kerry about the only thing I can spot is there isn't any markings or # on back side of blades? Maybe there never is?

After the first ten or so of a pattern there isn't any numbers and the reason they really look nekkid is...well...there are two nekkid blades. It was the lack of flutes on the bolsters that was really unusual. NO FLUTES was a request of the customer.

I gotta stop lurking here!! My heart can't take seeing all these incredible knives.
Mike, that Swell center is most excellent. The African skinner is truly a big chunk of Bose history. The WT looks good with a cap.
Maybe I'll just peek once in a while!

WELL, THAT'S MY KINDA KNIFE!
Bet it has caped a critter or two!
Thanks for sharing all your great photos, Kherry!
For all the wonderful tidbits of Bose History too!
You Rock, My Friend!

I couldn't resist the primevil-fanged-critters-locked-in-mortal-combat shot :D

Tony and Reese made these at about the same time. Tony's has the serpentine handle and Reese's has the standard handle. Both are made with D2 blades and springs, sumptuous ivory, and stamped "0".:eek:

I can't resist, it looks as if it will be a tie, unless someone throws in the towel. :D Great Work and Congrats to Both Bose.

Holy crapola! I agree with Betsy on extra curve but I like the ivory just a tad more on the one by Reese. I'm sure I could make do with either one.

What makes them both 0s? Are they the standard size?
