Bose Knives

Thanks for posting that Kerry. How hot does the blade get when you are holding it agains the grinder?
 
I don't know for sure, but it doesn't take very long to figure out it's too hot before we let go of it. :p
 
Seriously, it will get dang hot if you keep pressing it against the contact wheel. Water is kept next to every grinder and the blades are doused to keep them from burning the fingers. After heat treated, we don't allow the blades to get very hot during grinding so that the HT isn't ruined.

That's a good point and it's important to use full lenth strokes back and forth to keep from making tiny fish hook shaped scratches. Tony goes back and forth.
