Bose Knives

Wonderful example of the "cutler's art"! I have an idea of just how difficult building this knife has to have been and it looks like Reese pulled it off perfectly.

Kerry, you do such a nice job on the photographs and also thank you for sharing this piece of inspiration!

Thank you, Ken, for the encouragement.

I am going to ask Reese to assist with a video on the proper way to open this knife. That is something I think people will find interesting and informative. When Reese handed it to me to shoot, the first thing he said was, "...now this is how you have to open this to keep from rubbing the..." I just did one of these numbers ..DUH..I'm a professional! :D I didn't really say that but assured him I wouldn't beat it up too bad, dropped it in my pocket with my keys and ran like hell! I didn't really do that either. :p

Wow that knife is really awesome.I'd take up smokin' cigars if I owned that one!

Okay, it's been a week, I haven't made fun of you. Time for a new subtitle! :D

I've been thinking about it and, although "Time for a new subtitle!" would make a great one, I will put some more thought into it. :D

Inside out baby.....

Kerry,

Just a quick question, has Reese sharpened the knife at time of photographing?

Ken

I didn't cut myself...maybe it WASN'T sharpened. :D

Honestly I didn't check to see if it was sharp and I handled it as if it was. From the images it looks like there is a very thin bevel so I would have to say it is sharp.

I'll check it when I get home and let you know for sure.

Kerry: that is incredibly awesome. A congress is at the top of my list... Question? The "krinking" is evident and of course necessary. Do I also see actual tweaking or bending of the blades for clearance (pic 3)?

The crinks are at the point of the plunge and flat of the tang. The blades are straight from the plunge to the tip.

The fellow getting this knife is retiring an old knife and going to start using this one to cut flowers for his wife.....awwwwwwweeee! You're making the rest of us look bad :p Good for you for putting this beauty to work.:cool:
