Kerry, Thanks for the "Panama" story. i agree, "Panama Trapper" sounds just right, an excellent, flowing, name.

I'll give you the readers digest version:

Tony made our good friend from Panama, Juan, a single-blade BP with semi-skinner blade. I shot the knife and posted it and another friend of T's wanted one too but as a 2-blade BP with the semi-skinner secondary.

When T finished the knife, I picked it up to shoot it and he said to me, "We should come up with a name for this knife." When I posted it I mentioned in the post that we could use some ideas for a name for the knife and I gave my suggestion, "Panama Trapper" since T had just finished up that BP before for Juan. Search thru the old posts and you'll find the rest of the story but that's all the good parts. ;)

Panama Trapper...it rolls off the tongue. :p

That's some genius rolling tongue 'cause that name plain rocks and it fits the knife better than just perfectly. And in the future I'll be posting pics to prove it. Moreover, it makes me happy and proud and grateful and... ooops, no, that's it. :D ;):cool:

Now, is there ANYBODY out there who doesn't crave a Panama Trapper?

Maybe that should be next year's Case/Bose collaboration pattern! Thanks, Kerry, for the looksee.

Thank y'all for the kind words. The Panama Trapper, though, is a truly worthy knife, an important knife for someone who needs a knife for field work. And at the Bose level of workmanship one to last forever. Humans have been making knives since the Stone Age, but the knives coming out of Wilfred Works are just as good as knives have ever been.

With the very kind assistance of a BF member, i have recently received my first T. Bose folder.

I had thought i'd carry it in a belt sheath, but as i tried to find one with the right fit, i realised that pocket carry is all that is needed. This Wm. Henry sheath is about right.

The ivory on that one is sweet! Not very many Bose trappers with caps out there. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your first Bose.

Boy, Roland, when you want to get wet, you just jump in head first! I wonder how many's 1st Bose is an end-capped ivory model.

Too sweet, and MANY congrats!

Thanks for the kind words. I didn't realize that rear bolsters are the exception on this pattern, but i think they 'complete' the knife nicely. Beginners' luck !
