Bose Knives

This'll fire up the drool generator...a sumptious 4-line trapper finely clothed in buttery goodness. Patterned from a classic Camillus "4-Line" trapper with a swoopy-cool spey blade, it's stamped "5" because...uhhhhhh....it's number five. ;)

When I see you've posted in this jere forum my hands shakes mighty bad. It's like I wanna see but then I don't.

Please xplain for us dumb folk what "4-line" is. That's such darn good looking knife.

Thanks a lot, Kerry! The "swoopy cool" caused a pool of drool from this fool! :D

Great photos.

Juan, Camillus used a stamp that said

Camillus
Cutlery Co
Cammillus, NY
USA

using 4 lines up to about [I'm not exactly sure] 1940. The knife I patterned this from was made in the teens.

That's one beautiful knife Tony. Every time I drive by the Camillus Cutlery factory, which sits next to Nine MIle Creek, I shake my head in dismay that a fine old institution is gone from us. I'm glad there are people like you, Tony, that keep those old patterns alive.

Good fly fishing for brown trout and the occasional rainbow on Nine Mile Creek.

See, now I've learned something new. Thank you. I thought it had something to do with the spey blade having four distinct edges. Thanks, doc.

I still have about 30 bull calves to cut this next week. If the new owner likes I would be happy to break it in for him. It even has the right shield for the job.

Trappers are my favorite pattern, and that 4 Line is the pinnacle of trapper-ness, as far as I'm concerned. The only things that could make it better are if the blades were made of 52100 and it were in my hot little hands. Whoever it's going to has mighty good taste.

+1. I feel the same way when I pass the old Schrade factory in Ellenville, NY.

I have a feeling Halo will be in bed with me out at Camp Bop tonight!
Hunted for Coral snakes day before yesterday but came up empty.
You'll get an action shot soon!
