Bose Knives

She's a beauty in either mode of dress.

Funny you mention this. I had just discovered a severe crack in one of my ivory scaled knives last week. I spoke with the maker and he told me to send it to him.

Today he called me to let me know that the other scale had cracked while he had it laying in his shop.

(We haven't yet decided what the new clothes will be yet.)

Ooof ! That hurts ! I hope somebody said a few kind words when the Ivory went in the trash can.

I'm certain that was a job for TBandito

OUCH! One hefty Ivory crack!
When it decides to go, it goes, I guess. (he touches wood frantically!)
Well, it looks mighty handsome in that jigged bone! And very traditional as well!! I've only ever seen the old ones in Bone or wood.
Nice repair job, Tony!

Tony did a very nice job re-dressing that one.

I am the maker Elliott was referring to:eek: I could not believe what I saw when I took the knife out of the case this morning and the opposite side scale was cracked , and had cracked within a week to 10 days of the first side crack.

Groan!!! Sorry for all who have lost Ivory.
Delicate beauty!
Come to think of it, almost every Ivory antique/carving/artwork, has a fracture of some kind. It's a rare one that doesn't if great age is involved. I wonder if there is a seasoning process??

Happy New Year Ho's

Thanks for the new shoes Tony!
my heart stopped when I saw that crack..some checks you can live with ..this one needed a trip back to WW..
Looking Real Good in old Case Bone!!

Riad? Really? You neglect us for so long and only say hello when you get a fancy new handle on your fancy knife? Damn you!!!! ;) Happy New Year.

True dat, CNasty. It's been quite difficult keeping the man-crush fire burning in his absence. When he posted I was sayin to myself, "who dat, yo?" :)

Great looking knife, T.Dawg! YOU KNOW I LOVE THAT SEMI-SKINNER BLADE!
Those Morels & talk of turkey fries has me hungry as all get out!

I've finally reached Nirvana. What a gorgeous blade!:thumbup: Of course, everything else is perfect too, BTGWS!
I never saw this until today. This blows my mind. I think this with two blades a man could not carry anything better. It would be handle friendly with either blade open.

You are probably thinking this is a 3 3/4" sowbelly with a semi-skinner blade. You'd be right but the guy that dreamed this up says it's going to be his rabbit knife. You are not having deja vu, Tony already made the "0" knife that I posted up earlier in the thread.

Sheila,

I was "away from home and the computer" for a bit, so I didn't see the gorgous knife that you received. WOW! Tony and Kerry really did it up..just right! :D  :D

How impressive is the Dogleg that Tony did for his friend! Who said that "the old dog" doesn't have a heart?? It's just made out of either stag or ivory! :D Another amazing knife. I'm sure the owner will cherish it.

Happy New Year to all of the Bose Hoe's! ;)
