The ivory and grindage on the cotton sampler just do not get any better while the dog-leg is a great tribute to a golden and Shela's new knife and sheath rock!

Well done all.

Thanks for all the good words, Sweet Friends!

I love it and love Tony and Kerry for Making My Christmas!
(I Love My Calendar, too!)

Congrats, Sheila. That's a fine and worthy addition and couldn't have gone to a finer or more worthy recipient!

Here's what happens when a knife decides to shed it's clothes...it get's NEW CLOTHES! Tony doesn't (and nobody should, for that matter) guarantee ivory to remain totally stable and check free. It could last for a hundred years...or not. It's going to depend on many factors how well it remains flat and relatively stable. Risky business, I tell ya! ;)

For those that don't know, this is a 4 5/8" Arkansas hunter, stamped "1", ATS-34 blade and spring, covered with Case Antique Peach Seed Jigged Bone.

One thing to notice is how well this knife went back together. Some people have misgivings about soldered bolsters vs integral liner milled bolsters. When soldered correctly, they stay right where they are supposed to, even thru assembly, disassembly, and reassembly.:cool:

I'm certain an ordinary man couldn't have pulled that off. :D
