Nice thread, really makes me yearn for a small wharncliff folder, but out of my reach
for a long while! :) but, I can still look and drool ;)

Thanks, as most know, I mainly do folder sheaths, as that is what I like best
but was asked by Tony Bose if I'd consider doing those for him, turns out they
ended up as presents to friends at Christmas, how was I to not help?

It's great to see you back around the forums Gary! Great images of awesome sheaths and knives too.

Thanks sir, it's great to be home for a change, traveling since March this
year almost non stop, but, the silver lining was getting to meet Mr Bose
and yourself as well, nice visit!

Here is Tony's first muskrat, almost 3 7/8" with D-2 blades, dual springs, half stops, and long pulls from the mid 80's.

This is a gents knife Tony used to make. It is 3 1/4" with D-2 blade and spring, long pull, dovetailed bolsters, and cattle bone handle. Tony used to get raw cattle bone from a place down the road in Hymera. He'd boil and process the bone himself and, judging from the way this bone held up, he did a real nice job with it. From the early '80s. Check out all those pins!

Once in a while Tony would get a knife returned back to him for one reason or another. Apparently somebody didn't like green stag :) and Freddie said, "I'll take it" when this one came back home. This one was made in the late '80s. It's a half trapper and has ATS-34 blades and springs. The bolster has what we call a "Cattaraugus Flute"(basically it is straight, doesn't follow bolster radius) Long nail pull on the blade.

A MOP gents knife from the late '80s, a little over 3" with D-2 blade and spring, stainless liner and bolsters w/Catt. flutes.

How about 1 of only 2 dual clip trappers that Tony has made. 3.5" with D-2 blades and springs, SS bolsters/liners, and stag.

And a rare amber(dyed) stag 3.5" Wharncliffe trapper with D-2 blades and springs, Catt. fluted SS bolsters.

Freddie has used(and lost:eek:) a few Bose knives over the years. I'd say this black linen W. trapper has been used. 3.5" w/D-2 blades and springs.

Here's a nice MOP W. Trapper made in the mid '80s. It has N/S bolsters and liners. Freddie had the bolsters engraves while attending the Blade Show one year.

I saved the big knives for the last part. The first is the BP pattern you may be used to seeing around here but with a different blade this time. A 4.5" BP with somewhat of a drop point blade made of D-2. Probably from the early to mid '80s.

There's a funny story about this knife. It was given by Freddie to his nephew while still a kid in school. As kids sometimes do, he lost his knife on the school bus. The bus driver recognized the knife and gave it back to Freddie instead of the nephew. Freddie hasn't told the nephew to this day.:D

Another 4.5" BP but this time with a recurved drop point blade.

As far as I know this is one of a kind, 4 5/8" Saddlehorn with Damascus Blade, lock, bolsters, and steel liners.

badeabadeabadeabadea That's all folks :p

Wow. Guess I’ll go back to collecting Cheetos that resemble U.S. presidents now.

Those are some incredible knives you’ve posted today. It’s going to be a while before we hit a high-water mark like that in this thread.

I didn’t know that about the Cattaraugus fluted bolsters, that it had a name, but I had noticed that the Boses’ flutes are mostly on a radius.

Thanks for posting them, Kerry.

Wow,with these last few posts, and all the pages leading up to them, this thread is like a Bose virtual tour.
When I started the thread,I just wanted to show off to you knife lovers,my new found slipjoint made by the man,Tony.
I gotta thank Tony & Reese again, for their great knives,Kerry, for the pictures and info & everything, and to everyone who has posted and added to the thread, & the mods. who allowed it a sticky! Thanks,
- Vince

Wow, Kerry. Thanks for sharing those. I'm speechless...

It's 4.5". It's very thin and light for a big knife. The grain in the ivory is just gorgeous.

Well I just got out the trusty tape measure and it is actually a skosh over 4 5/8"

What a beauty! Slightly bellied drop point. It should dress a deer right smartly! And the rat-tail bolsters are icing on the ivory cake!

Kerry: Do you stitch the desk knife sheaths or do you use a machine and if so..what machine? Thanks and they are surely beautiful.
