Bose Knives

Happy Birthday Tony!! I hope it was a great one!!

I had to jump on one of the damascus Case Bose Tribal Spears. Awesome piece.
I'm a big fan of the damascus versions of the Tony Bose/Case collaboration knives. If I had the extra cash, I'd pick one up too. The Norfolk version with Damascus and Dark Molasses bone looks great too.

Unfortunately I've been selling off a lot of knives lately, but I have made sure to hold onto my favorite Bose knives. People on here always used to yell at me because I took pictures of them stuck in trees. I've been admiring my much, much smaller collection lately and this whittler is still my favorite, followed closely by my Cotton Sampler and my Ivory Swayback.

2 of my faves....along with Ken Erickson's first 5 blader

Tony's is 2nd to the top and the third is Ken Erickson's rendition of my old Remington Cotton Sampler

My newest Bose..
Love this pattern.
Thanks to the many here that have helped me gather these beauties.
Happy Belated Birthday Tony!

Happy B-Day Tony. Looks like the NFL gave you a nice present yesterday with Brady and the Pats.

I carry this "slim" swayback almost everyday, and the backpocket the rest of the time, with a Hampton and Menefee occasionally thrown into the mix.

Mikey, what's the steel on that BP? Looks like you've been putting it to good use and it's developing a nice patina. I'm not going to Blade this year, but we need to catch up sometime.

That's a stunner VinnyB

Nice one's Campbell!

Campbell, the BP has VG-10 and the swayback has Don Hanson's W2. Man, we had some great times at Blade for a couple of years in a row there. Isn't that where you got that ivory swayback from Rhett Stidham? I'm not allowed to have that much fun anymore. Your post brought back a lot of those memories.

Vince, sweet knife from Reese! It's been many a moon since you, me, George and James all got on Reese's list around the same time.

We did have some fun, back in the days of shimmering waters :) give me a double in a beer glass please.

Yea, we definitely had some good times. Not sure if you were in the lobby on this one particular night at Blade (I think Kerry was there and maybe Blues, Gus and Vince)....but I somewhat remember taking my pants off on a dare around 1am in the lobby. Jerry, you might have been there too.

I recently sold a BP that is now coming back to me. It also has CPMV10. Tony, if I recall, you said it was tough to grind but also a very wear-resistant metal. In all the years I owned it, I think I only had to sharpen it once. The edge held up wonderfully. If I decide to keep it when I get it back, I may really put it to the test and see how hard I can use it. Like yours Mike, it was starting to get a really nice patina.

Even though that show is huge ,with so much knife content,I feel it is more a social event for us knife nuts. And as usual, that is my way of saying it ,as I can't really figure out how to say it better :) Good times,I can't this year but doubt I can stay away next year, the longing to go is overwhelming .

Campbell I thnk I was MIA during the pants incident. If it was at the Embassy Suites I was there, my memory is somewhat clouded by the alchohol. I do recall Mike, Kerry, you and I sitting at a table when the 5 or 6 blade Bose was brought out. I wouldn't even touch it. Kerry was giving instructions on which blades to open and close, you and Mike were the operations managers :)

Neither I nor Kerry can make it this year. But I suggest that next year, Kerry rekindle an old tradition of making a list of "Bose Hoes" who will be in attendance. I think in 2007, he was actually posting the list as names were added.
