Love the long swedge, thin grind, texture of the stag in hand, 440V ... will do everything I ask of a folder, perfect size for the pocket ... stick a fork in me!

On older banana trappers, such as the classic Remington R1253 (just saw one at the gun show for 1K), the lock is at the end of the handle. Does having it as a midlock improve the design, or is Tony just mixin it up for fun?
 
Some of them were made with a mid lock, Winchesters was. I like them better cause you can close it with one hand, the rear lock you have to hold with the other hand to release the lock.
 
Thanks Tony, makes sense to me. I just saw one with the mid lock this weekend.
