What is the product you are using on the ivory? This is new to me. What is the benefit? Should I also use it on my stag and bone knives?

It's just some baby oil on the ivory only.
Keeps them hydrated so to speak.
I know people say lemon oil works good on stag.
Thanks

Tony sent me a couple of pics tonight and I thought you would enjoy them.

According to Tony:

"It's bone that i jigged and dyed. 154cm blades and spring. 410 frame and pinned on shield. Flush joint."

If you are a Dogshead Fan, you will love these special items from Tony.

"Here is something to post in the Bose thread. One of these sterling Dogshead rings were given to the top salesman at KA-BAR each yr in the 30s. One of the old dealers told me from 1935-1940. Pretty damn rare.. Being a big Dogshead fan, I wear it sometimes."

Don't you imagine Tony has some cool stuff to trade!

Ready for deer season? I mean really ready? Not as ready as the owner of these beauties. I would be counting the days!

According to Tony:

"For the serious deer hunter. D2 tool steel Rc 62. If you drop them in the leaves you can find them easy. Made of Juma Gem. It's a heat resistant material that doesnt smear when you shape it. It throws dust. It's cool"

...

Beautiful flush joints on that trapper and man oh man. That pair of hunters are sublime sierracharlie
I know Jsega51/Jake is gonna love the photos of those. All he's been talking about lately are T.Bose Deer Hunter fixed blades.

OH THE HUMANITY!!! I'm hunting in the off season for a stag handled T Bose drop point. D2 would be icing on the cake!

I used this one all through hunting season last year. T Bose drop point made by Rick Menefee. 154CM and some gorgeous maple.

Another Bose drop point pattern made by Brett Dowell that needed a good home. CPM154, stag and red liners with a bolster. Same pattern, just a little extra flair in a Loveless way.

This is a great looking knife with amazing stag!

Tony says, "It's an arrow head shield, 3 5/8" closed wharncliffe trapper. 154cm blades and springs. 410 stainless frame and shield. Very nice stag."

In response to why there is no rat tail bolster on this one, Tony says. "The stag shape tells me whether or not I can flute it. You need enough flat on the bottom of the bolster to let the flute run out. If the stag is too round you can't flute it. On those corners you dont want the bolster above the stag. Its sharp."

I like it without the rat tail. Draws your eye more toward the stag...at least to me. The clip blade has a more pronounced belly also compared to mine by Reese.

This is one of those knives that I could never part with. 3" Wharncliffe Trapper, which could be the perfect carry.... This bone has been jigged and rolled over making it very nice in the hand. I never liked flat knives. It's kinda like the way they use to make them way back when, but with amazing craftsmanship.

I like the rounded look John. It's like it has traveled a long ways in a pocket. Great color to it as well.

Thats some bone that Reese jigged up and dyed himself.......He really aced it. D2 is the steel....

Same with this stag beauty
