Bose Knives

10-4 Vince, with the angle of the pic, it was hard to tell how close the pivot was to the front end there. Either way, great looking knife. That nail nick is pretty deep! No mistaking grabbing that sucker.

Fantastic new backpocket Andy!

I had a pretty nice mailcall today as well :D
One I've been hunting for a longgg time and finally one made by the Old Dog.

Hell, I used to own that little orange fibermascus beauty. Hate that I gave it up.

Haha I saw the old sales thread Campbell, sent you a PM and Email. Glad to see you back on BF :) I actually sent this one back to Reese and Tony just a day or two ago. It's a beautiful well functioning user.

I love Orange Fibermascus. Campbell's photos inspired me to get one of my own. You won't lose it in the woods and it is easy to spot in somebody else's tackle box. Thanks to John Hanlon for hooking me up. I understand that Fibermascus is hard to finish and more fragile than other handle materials. That is why you always see them with the cap on the bottom of the handle.

Speaking of stag...in a lightening bolt of luck, a sheer moment of a miracle, a...well you get the point, I was able to have a Drop Point Hunter made by Tony. The steel is his ground finished D2. The stag is amazing in the hand and the tapered tang is executed perfectly to give the knife the right balance.

I was told that Tony made this up quick since he was informed that I would be using it this hunting season and he wanted me to have it in time. I can't thank you enough Tony!!

I'm dreaming to be able to use one of these Hunting knives from Tony during my french hunts. :)

I especially love the Bose knives I see which have been used, sharpened, and carried. You have to love the rattail bolster which took courage in those days! Here is a blast from the past with Tony's commentary:

"Love this knife. Somebody got their money's worth. Early 80s."

"Arizona knives sent me a picture of it. They got it in and thought I'd like to see it."

"People used to piss and moan cause I asked $150 for one of those. Bet they wish they had bought some then instead of pissing and moaning. "

An early TB knife. A micarta shadow with sheath.

"Here is one out of the middle 70s before i ever got a stamp. I sold my first knife for $15."

"In 1974 i had a guy set me to make a pair of hunting knives for his two sons for Christmas. When i got them done i ask him $40 for the set. He wouldnt buy them. Said he could buy them a Buck for that."

Some better lit photos the good Dr. T took of his new piece. 1 of 1.
"Made by Tony last week at Wilferd Works during a filming of a cable television segment called
"Handmade in America". HMA is stamped on the liner inside the blade well. She is a real gem!"

I will stay tune .

Love to see tony at work.

I posted a question a while back as to why there arent any books or magazines solely on tonys work. The most i have found are small magazines articles about tony.

Will be nice to see a book on his work, biography etc.

Cant wait.

I hope to one day meet Mr Bose.

I sure will buy it.

These people were real pros. Hope everyone enjoys it. It was fun for me. It was the first time I was ever set in a make up chair. I told that lady if she tried to put lipstick on me somebody was getting their ass whipped. Might be me, but somebody!

^ that would have been a great little scene to film and put in the show for sure!

Reese Bose Wharncliffe Trapper
-3.5" closed
-Westinghouse Burgundy micarta
-440V steel
-Federal shield

Always wondered about this pattern and the comfortability of it in hand and now I know why it's Tony's favourite..

Always wondered also why my buddy Jake kept on raving about the Wharncliffe Trapper. I finally had to try it out for myself. :D
