Oh no!I paid for delivery,fitting and removal of the old one which bumps the price.
The hardest thing was using a tape measure one handed with my knee bleeding at the same time.
It turns out currys only had 4 small machines that fitted my gap,good job I measured.
Still in the scheme of things its nothing,whats happening in Ukraine is a disgrace to the rest of us in the world,it makes my blood boil.

I'm all set to replace the handles with something that covers the tang (including the heel of the hand bruising feature).
I have many sets of allen wrenches and I can't find one. I think I have recently seen a mess of them in one bin/toolbox/drawer/coffee-can, but I can't find the receptacle. Maybe if I buy a couple new ones (better get English and metric, or I'll have the wrong one.)

The discomfort caused by the pommel can be eased somewhat with a file, both to round the profile a bit and to chamfer the edges, which were quite sharp on my example.Maddening.
