Good idea. The discomfort caused by the pommel can be eased somewhat with a file, both to round the profile a bit and to chamfer the edges, which were quite sharp on my example.

Yes, mine isn't particularly uncomfortable, but I just think it has been 'over-thought'. I'd much rather have a full handleI'd rather have a full handle, though, and since I'm making a new handle, ...
Mine arrived I love em both.Well I was supposed to sell things to pay for my car insurance and a new washing machine.
The drum has turned into a IED,now I have a pile of wet unwashed clothes that I cant even wring as I only have one good hand since my accident.
Well you asked but didnt expect a story.
Anyway logic doesent come into it.these 2 looked most useful.
Normally I like stainless for outdoorsy stuff so this time went for carbon on the compact camp knife,I may buy some corby bolts and make it look even more traditional.
I opted for 3 payments though they arent pricey
PRODUCT TOTAL Tiger – Limiter series 365 pcs only × 1 BS1FT Compact camping knife - carbon steel × 1

Glad they made itMine arrived I love em both.
Smalls just a word,I would say it’s Pukko in size and perfect for outdoors stuff.
My XL hand has full grip.
The TIGER is also excellent again my XL hand has full grip,I don’t need to use the ring, the way you grip it gives lots of control.
The sheaths are also perfect.
I love the simple rustic style and build.
To produce these in the conditions they have to endure is outstanding.
My final thought my heart goes out to Ukraine,I feel ashamed we aren’t helping more.
That's annoying JerThe slabs I bought are just a whisker too short. I'll saw my own after all.

It does seem like they got a step out of order, but no lives are hanging in the balance about it.That's annoying JerI was thinking about your knife, and the badly-fitted handle, when I was using mine the other day. The handles fit mine perfectly, and I think must have been finished after they were in place (as you would expect). Whereas, the slabs on yours have clearly been pre-cut. I wonder if they are experiencing an increased demand, and have had to adjust their production methods, and/or draft in more labour?
Hope you get it soonMine arrived in country and is now with customs. Will see how long that process will take.
Mine arrived at customs as well. Probably on the same boat as yours lol.Mine arrived in country and is now with customs. Will see how long that process will take.
Cool story Jer, looking forward to seeing how it looksThis plank of cherry is just about thick enough. The walnut I'd have to saw on a slant.

But I think it's time to take a bite out of this block of maple.

I like to leave myself room for error.
And I'll tell this story once more.
I bought this block from the survivors of a man in his eighties who made beautiful little wooden boxes. About the last thing he did was to cut down the humongous maple in his front yard, and mill it himself. People would get out of their cars and ask to help, but he wouldn't let them.
my BPS knives came in today and the fit and finish were great. They really are a good deal! I plan on blueing them for some rust protection.
