Buck 110/112 Transition Folding Hunter NIB

I just don't like the idea of hiding the bidders...for all we know, pappykacks and his wife are the only bidders...pushing the price up... :grumpy:

$102.50 was the winning bid.

123.99 was the winning bid
as for pappykacks or his wife i trust him that way but you have no way of knowing if it is a new bidder or one with a bad history

...that seller just joins the ranks of the list of " Ickies" I won't buy from...I'm sure it's no big deal to him but it takes little to make me smile sometimes...:) :)

I also trust Pappykacks,
Its just the point of the "Hidden" bidders list...
I am not saying pappykacks would do that but---- for all we know----...

 ...Phewww...I'm kinda glad I spent up my allotment for a while...A guy could go broke playin' around with these things...LOL... :D :D

$102.50 was the winning bid fellas, I bought it. I never bought from pappykacks before so I was also curious if the price would jump way out there. The private bidder setup always worries me because of shill bidding. In this case I doubt that the price was "run up".

...???...

Ended: Sep-26-06 17:34:53 PDT

You on the right auction??? Or does eBay automatically convert to Canadian currency...
no sorry i was on the wrong listing:foot:
and yes my browser shows me both us and can amounts
see why you guys dont want me running a pool we would end up with the wrong da#n knife :D but i would rather have the buffalo than the transition anyway so it must be subconcious :D

Ackkkkkkkkkk! This is wrong in so many ways....

First off, DON'T SHILL EBAY AUCTIONS ON BLADEFORUMS! (or anywhere on the net; a lot of moderators will just ban you without warning.) Don't post links to active auctions, don't post the auction number, don't mention there's an auction going on, even if it isn't your auction.

Second, it's a "private auction." Don't you know what that means? Let me quote what our own Bernard Levine is always saying:

What were you thinking when you bid on this?

First, it was a "private auction." You don't even need to look at the pictures on these. Only two things are sold this way: fakes, and kiddie porn. Since this is not kiddie porn (I don't think), it must be a fake.

Third, something that looks very much like a bidding pool has been proposed. That's not a new idea, gentlebeings; it happens all the time. A group of potential bidders agree not to bid against each other. Instead just one of them bids and then they settle among themselves who gets each item, usually by holding a second auction among themselves. The purpose is to defraud the seller of his fair price (it also defrauds ebay of their fair commission). Usually the participants are more discreet than to make their plans on an open forum in full view of law enforcement.... I don't really suppose anybody here had any criminal intentions, probably you just didn't think about it much, but THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

Please desist from all these things in future. Do not shill ebay auctions, do not bid on private auctions if you have any sense at all, and do not conspire to form a bidding ring. Don't do it on Bladeforums, and if you have any brains or any ethics, don't do it anywhere else either.

thanks for the heads up cougar and sorry for the spike in your blood pressure
the way you explain it i can see how it could give the wrong impression but there was no intended fraud or schilling but point taken
also a good rule on the no bid policy on the private listings but in this case it is not a fake but again point taken
and lastly the no links policy to an auction or listing , does that apply to completed auctions as well ??

Once an auction is completed you can post a link and talk about the knife, no problem then.
