??Buck 110 Release Tomorrow (01/10/2022)??

Y'all act like ya never seen a 110 before. They aren't high end customs, in fact if you look around your local Walmart for the boxed version you can pick a 420HC one for $35ish dollars if they have any left.

That said they are rough and ready knives that have stood the test of time. The quirks make it uniquely yours, go cut something and enjoy it.
if this 110 was $35 I wouldn't say a word. I can't get a .001 shim between the blade and the liner. None of my 110s or 112s anywhere near this off center. I expect this quality gamble from a modern production Case but not a Buck

Sorry you got a Friday afternoon one, perhaps contact Buck warranty and see what they say?

You are 100% correct. I’m new to Buck collecting and really should not have even mentioned the minor inadequacy of blade play. The Magnacut 110 is a giant leap forward from it’s inception.

Got mine today…

What does Les do? I’m new to the Buck community.
Welcome to the forum!

Some say I do as little as I can. 😆 but I do my best and fairly well for my age and condition. :D Otherwise jbmonkey is a great guy who helped me out when I had trouble when I was trying to order one of these knives.

Case has forced me to learn some rudimentary adjustment methods as well, not so much recently tho so there is hope.

Did you try the edge, mine came sharp enough to cut your eye if you looked at it too close.
possibly the sharpest one I've received yet, also my first dance with magnacut. flushed the cutting fluid and grime out, it's smooth as glass. hoping mine is a fluke otherwise

Mine is scary sharp as well but there was no way in heck I would even attempt to shave arm hair for a demonstration. I'd end up in the E.R. for certain.

Mine came in today. I’m very pleased with it.

The blade has very, very minor blade play when closed, but is well within what I would consider acceptable. The brass could have been finished slightly better near the back lock…. That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. Every other aspect of the knife is phenomenal. Jeff wasn’t kidding when he said that Buck had instituted a new grinding procedure! Easily the best grind I’ve ever seen on a Buck. So even!!! The grind seems to be a bit more toothy then I’m used to seeing from Buck too.

All in all, two VERY enthusiastic thumbs up!

Pics to come tomorrow!

****This one is off to a fellow Buck enthusiast****

If any of you fellas who missed out, want one….hit me up. I bought two. One is going to another member. I was going to keep the other one but think I want to order a custom with drop point blade and finger grooves.

Just cover my cost and shipping.

*Prefer this goes to an established member with a track record here.

For side to side blade play, I've had success with wrapping the bolster in leather and squeezing in a vise, little by little, until the play is gone. There is always the possibility that the pivot pin will become unseated and will end up proud. If that happens, I'm sure you could still send it back to Buck for warranty repair.

I'd like to hear more from J J Hubbard about Buck's "new sharpening method". What are they doing differently? Most new knives I receive can be made significantly sharper by stropping. Also, some company's have moved to robotic sharpening, resulting in very consistent edges.
