if this 110 was $35 I wouldn't say a word. I can't get a .001 shim between the blade and the liner. None of my 110s or 112s anywhere near this off center. I expect this quality gamble from a modern production Case but not a BuckY'all act like ya never seen a 110 before. They aren't high end customs, in fact if you look around your local Walmart for the boxed version you can pick a 420HC one for $35ish dollars if they have any left.
That said they are rough and ready knives that have stood the test of time. The quirks make it uniquely yours, go cut something and enjoy it.
Sorry you got a Friday afternoon one, perhaps contact Buck warranty and see what they say?if this 110 was $35 I wouldn't say a word. I can't get a .001 shim between the blade and the liner. Les is a participant here, who missed one. so ones going to him of the two I got. What does Les do? I’m new to the Buck community.
You are 100% correct. I’m new to Buck collecting and really should not have even mentioned the minor inadequacy of blade play. The Magnacut 110 is a giant leap forward from it’s inception.Y'all act like ya never seen a 110 before. Cool, I thought he may be a service provider, or customizer.Les is a participant here, who missed one. so ones going to him of the two I got.
Hold on I need to get my wife over here to read this. You are 100% correct.

possibly. might decide to crink the blade, a skill learned from buying Case sight unseenSorry you got a Friday afternoon one, perhaps contact Buck warranty and see what they say?
You killing me, I feel ya bro.Hold on I need to get my wife over here to read this.![]()
Case has forced me to learn some rudimentary adjustment methods as well, not so much recently tho so there is hope.possibly. might decide to crink the blade, a skill learned from buying Case sight unseen
possibly the sharpest one I've received yet, also my first dance with magnacut. flushed the cutting fluid and grime out, it's smooth as glass. hoping mine is a fluke otherwiseCase has forced me to learn some rudimentary adjustment methods as well, not so much recently tho so there is hope.
Did you try the edge, mine came sharp enough to cut your eye if you looked at it too close.
Mine is scary sharp as well but there was no way in heck I would even attempt to shave arm hair for a demonstration. I'd end up in the E.R. for certain.Case has forced me to learn some rudimentary adjustment methods as well, not so much recently tho so there is hope.

I also noticed this. I'm wondering if Magnacut benefits from it. It looks rough, but the edge is absolutely scary sharp. The grind seems to be a bit more toothy then I’m used to seeing from Buck too.
Mine came in today. I’m very pleased with it.
The blade has very, very minor blade play when closed, but is well within what I would consider acceptable. The brass could have been finished slightly better near the back lock…. That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. Every other aspect of the knife is phenomenal. Jeff wasn’t kidding when he said that Buck had instituted a new grinding procedure! Easily the best grind I’ve ever seen on a Buck. So even!!! The grind seems to be a bit more toothy then I’m used to seeing from Buck too.
All in all, two VERY enthusiastic thumbs up!
Pics to come tomorrow!
