??Buck 110 Release Tomorrow (01/10/2022)??

The internet panic, I can attest to that one.
Being slow and then deemed unworthy has it's benefits.
I finished up the "normal" 110 collection with the finger groove model and got the Frank Zappa box set I'd left in my Amazon cart.
Also cut my thumb with a Ranger TRX but that's another story. That thing has it out for me.

Picked mine up from the mail house and found that it was not finished in the depression of the lock as shown in the photo. Nice covers, the blade is sharp and the grind is even. I'l work on the problem area. Had to do the same on another 110 several years ago.

Yep, mine is the same. Probably won’t do anything to mine, but out of curiosity what did/do you do to fix this? Assuming just sanding with finer and finer grit and then polish at the end?

To all those who are just a little disappointed in the finish..Just make it a Custom! I've read ONE reference that Magancut CAN be mirror polished. And I'm seriously considering sending mine to Kyson for mirror polish if possible, bareheaded with front bolster work and Koa,Ironwood or Buffalo horn handles. If this turns out to be as great a steel as folks say with Bucks heat treatment I think it would deserve to be better looking than a $35.00 Walmart 110..

If any of you fellas who missed out, want one….hit me up. I bought two. One is going to another member. I was going to keep the other one but think I want to order a custom with drop point blade and finger grooves.

Just cover my cost and shipping.

*Prefer this goes to an established member with a track record here.

...

Nevermind, I think the 110 is still too big for what I use. Sorry

I was actually thinking of doing that. Send it off to someone with insane sharpening skills to straighten it up and put that cool polished edge on it

I believe that you are correct bucksway bucksway . I have a few Magnacut blades from other manufacturers and out of the box they are pretty impressive. Not mirror, but I could see it getting there without much effort if you used the right stuff.
Here is a Magnacut blade I got from another company and have been super impressed with it. This picture is straight out of the box, wiped it on my shirt to clean a few smudges. I held the knife up and took the picture. The reflection is out my window (through the glass that hasn't been cleaned this fall or winter and won't be until spring) and into the woods behind my lot.
Since this is a Buck forum, I'll also attach a picture of one of my Buck fixed blades (not Magnacut, obviously) I take out with me hunting and has cleaned up a few animals for me without blinking...

I love the polished edge look but even more so the whole blade. Thanks for showing us the pic of the polished blade! I think Buck gave us this in such a ordinary configuration so they could keep the price point low. I know lots of people who bought this because it was reasonably priced but I'm sure the next 110 with Magnacut will be in upgraded handles and maybe a nickel silver frame. As much as I love the 112 I don't think Buck will make a 112 with it anytime soon. My 110 will be a user..

A day late with pics, but here you go. :)

As mentioned before, it does have that little spot in the back lock area that was missed during polish. I really don't mind though. It's an easy fix, and the price was right for the steel. I've finished Magnacut and it's not exactly fun, lol. All in all, I'm super pleased with the knife.
