if that were true i would be offended, but i`m not, i was open to other viewpoints, and there are a few good ones, but in all honesty, really man, take a look at some of the other ones, its arguing ,no valid points, just arguing ,i will continue looking, everyone says there are people around who can replace the blade within my scope of reqirements, but i havent found any yet,its the way to go ,but no luck yet, it just plain and simply seems to me,.like .i have to take my toyota to a gm dealer for servicing, because toyota dosent want my problem, toyota wants me to buy a new car and whose best interest is being served with that i remain=unimpressed

Some might say you're just arguing with no valid point. Try taking your Toyota to a Toyota dealership and asking for a service not offered. Maybe you could ask them to pimp your ride. :p I doubt you'll get very far.

The folks who customize Bucks have already been mentioned. I think it's time for you to let this go.

another one who missed the point, its not a case of service not offered, its a point of service period

They do offer service ,just not Custom service on old knives.
Look in the Bucks for sale section at the top of this forum you might
find an older 110 or a newer 110 w/upgraded steel.

I recommend that you move on to a different brand and knife company.

Sounds like you might be happier.

Its always fun when we get a whiner to play with :D

You seem to be the only one who is missing the point. You can't grasp the fact that you are unhappy because, they won't give you a service they no longer offer.
Its really simple...

Yes they may have the parts, and yes maybe they could do it, but they don't....
I read this entire thread, and can't believe you are still posting to it. If you are that unhappy, walk away from it and let it die. The fact that you continue to post and complain, is not going to make them change their mind.
You are starting to remind me of a little kid that keeps whining because he can't have his way.

You said that if they used better steel, you wouldn't have to sharpen it all the time, so the blade would still be useable. It sounds to me like maybe you need to improve your sharpening skills, so you don't remove so much material.

Perhaps it's time to treat the OP in the same way as we used to treat my neice who was prone to throw tantrums when she didn't get her way. Everyone just walked away, quit responding to her and ignored her.

When she found that she was no longer the center of attention, she shut up, getting attention being the real reason for the tantrum. ;)

point taken,i dont agree but point taken, your trying to goad me on my sharpening skills i aint biting,i`m very confident in my skills,.......any way on to part 2 my only other option, ive been searching for a blade to replace the one in question ,i`ve been led to believe they exist, i cant seem to locate any where are they, thanks

Most likely, you're going to have to buy a complete knife and rob it for the blade.

eBay is your best bet, though you mention you don't like eBay.
You can also post a Wanted to Buy in the WTB Knives forum here at Bladeforums: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/683-Wanted-to-Buy-Knives

If you're looking for an S30V blade, then you could just buy a Cabela's 110 with an S30V blade and have it swapped out.

If you're looking for a 425M blade, there's a date range involved. I think Buck used 425M from 1981 to 1992.
Here are the date codes. The knife you buy would need to have one of the 1981 to 1992 codes. Before '86 was four dots, I believe.

Don't feed the troll.

No, the customer service part of this thread is done. Question has been asked and answered.
If canadian1 has moved on to looking for a replacement blade elsewhere, then great. I'll happily give advice toward that end.

Another place to look for vintage blades/knives would be flea markets or swap meets.
Trying to find an '87 blade is going to be harder than just finding a 425M blade, but stranger things have happened.

In my heart of hearts, I believe I'll run across one of the Thompson Center / Buck Nessmuks one of these days. :p

thanks dad

canadian1, you've been warned for trolling. People are responding to said trolling. If you'd like to keep stirring the pot, you can go for infractions and banning. Your choice. :D

Edited to add:
I'd sure like to see others stop the poking at this point.
canadian1 says he's moved on to looking for a replacement blade from sources other than Buck.
That sounds like a better direction for the thread to me.
