Bushcraft Knife challenge - Interest?

That is a pretty awesome knife Rick! I see why he is hissy fitting :)

I kinda did in my head too!!

So as it stands, the 4 luck testers will be.

Big Mike

Marcelo Cantu

Rescue Riley

Tonym

What? A bunch of Yankees doing the test? What do Yankees know about messing around in the woods?

Just kidding - I am from the Southern Tier of NY, and I spent a lot of time wandering the fields, hills, and woods, and backpacking and canoeing in the Adirondacks. But I have lived in the south now longer than I lived there.

This has been a great thread to follow.

Rick that blade looks very useful thanks for sharing!

I'll have my entry finished tomorrow except for the sheath. Ok to post a pic here or should I post it in my forum?

Here's the knife for the challenge. This is a new design. Just took a piece of steel, took a Sharpie, drew an outline and starting grinding. It's 9 1/2" overall with a 4 3/4" blade, 4 1/2" cutting edge, 3/16" thick by 1 3/8" wide. Turquiose/black canvas micarta scales, A2 steel.

She's got purty handles. Good looking blade.

That's a serious looking knife Scott! I realy like the handle and have always like spear points!
I can't wait to get her dirty!!

Thats very nice Scott. Looks like a kephart bred with a Canadian but the kephart had the dominant gene for the blade shape. Then you went and put a sensible handle on it! Looks great!
