I'll make them!!! That would be fun!!! :D Might be difficult to get the pictures, but hey, I'll wing it

LOL Pokey, leave it to us to forget the serious aspect of a conversation and turn it into something silly instead.
You make them, then I will have everyone in the neighborhood walk them to his front door and ring the bell. Beef is the leader. :D
Threatening and scary? Definately.

I never thought it would end up with cupcakes either. How did we get side tracked? Hmmm thanks Gary.:D

We had a Convicted Sex Offender that moved into our neighborhood back in St. Louis. Wouldn't you know it, it was during the 12 months I commuted home on the weekends from Indy until we sold our house. He was an offender of children under thirteen... specifically making some videos.

He moved into the home of some homeowners as a "roommate" whom felt sorry for him. They, of course, had no children. Easy, when you're not the one taking a risk.

Not happy about this at all. We lived in a neighborhood with one entrance/exit. A Catholic church at the corner of the entrance that ran a parochial school through 8th grade.

This returnee-to-society made it a habit of walking from the rear of the neighborhood, where he stayed, out past my home, past the school and off to the store.

I made sure EVERYONE in the neighborhood was aware of his picture and why he was being monitored by the police.

We set up an agenda item on the next town council meeting to discuss whether or not his domicile and walking around was a violation in proximity to the school.

I've got two kids - at the time my daughter was 6-7 and son was three. There were MANY little girls between the ages of 8 and 12 that play in the front yards and the street of this cat's "stroll."

What does he do now?

He buys a little fluffy dog that he walks up and down the streets.

Between myself and neighbors we had him interviewed by police at least 4 -5 times for stopping to talk to little girls when walking his little dog.

He and I... interacted. The nature of the interaction isn't appropriate for a public forum.

The night of the town meeting agenda the Chief LEO for our community called to say the guy had moved out.

I'm all about Christian forgiveness. Truly. Some things though, I can't abide. Any adult male who is attracted to the physical form of a child though... not so much.

As a parent, my responsibility to my children is to protect them from predators at any expense.

Not something I'm proud of but, as they say, not something I regret.

Glad you and the neighbors took a proactive approach Paddling_man. Too many people just stand by these days and belive that nothing bad can happen to them and theirs. You have to protect yourself and yours.

And, yes. Gun training... a shotgun for home (20, not 12) and a concealed carry handgun.

Prior to that the big industrial cans of Grizzly Bear spray are awesome. They are, of course, not marketed for human beings nor would I suggest using them as such. It's just for those wandering Ohio bears.

First bake a batch of cup cakes. Then, while enjoying them form a PLAN!
Know what you will do if some unwanted situation presents itself. If something "goes bump in the night" what do you do? Always keep phones nearby and charged. Get to know your good neighbors and fairly well (neighborly). Good people look out for one another. Even a small dog can alert you of a threat. And they are cheaper to feed than big dogs. Only worry is if she rents and can't have pets or they cost extra rent/deposit to keep.
Now as to arming; if a gun, she better be prepared to take a life. Hesitation is a no go.
If a blade, I recommend small and controllable. She needs to know to target not only eyes/face but the chest and any point where a limb intersects the torso. Cuts to anywhere a limb bends are good defensive plays but sometime harder to hit. It is easy to felet pectoral muscles. And I doubt there will be much fight left in the attacker. If so, raise his left arm to expose the arm pit. Use your imagination on the next step.
Whatever the decision, stay aware and safe.

As far as blades, I think bigger can be better: Sword Fatal To Intruder

The man doing the slashing was not charged despite being in a state where such actions (leaving the home to confront a robber in a detached garage with a weapon) are usually not condoned.

all this talk of shotguns...it depends where you live, do you live with others? kids, animals? neighborhood where houses are close together? Unless you REALLY know how to use a shotgun I would not recommend one. A good handgun would be a better option IMO. Too many worries about over penetration and hitting something you don't want to with a shotty.

I say you have her host a BUSSE COMBAT event:thumbup:

Then we can all show up and introduce ourselves as family members:cool:

+1:thumbup:

I will show up and Snoopy Dance him until he wants to go back to jail.

That is inhumane.

Oh, ya it sounds like a plan to me!! Beef definitely needs to be the leader of that pack!
