Did you have any trouble at all getting it replaced? How did you manage to break the tip too?

ESEE hands down. You dont see Busse knives being used to destroy aliens do you? I rest my case ;).

I like ESEE because you know EXACTLY what you are getting and it does work. Clean, simple, tough, affordable, and backed by a ridiculous warranty. I'm sure Busse is great too but I wouldnt know.

I've stabbed my into wood more than 100 times and bent it sideways and it hasn't done anything to it. I have pounded on it batoning, too, with no damage. I'm still not worried it will break off.

I want get a replace for it, I don't see the point because the same thing will happen again..I want my money back.:foot:

look harder:rolleyes:

Exactly what are we looking for? I see a broken tip and a worn coating. And to say that you don't want a replacement because "the same thing will happen again" is trolling. You don't know what will happen in the future.

Yep....but you can get a very wild guess & a good one.
I must buy the knife & I must be careful not to break under normal use....ya must kidding me right?
Troll me? tell that to ppl that never own a Busse knife & talk crap about it.... because is expensive!
A dull knife is always better than a broken knife.

Since Kurodrago has effectively hijacked this thread to promote his idol, I have only one question for him.

If you want your money back, why don't you get the knife replaced and then promptly sell it? You might not get 100% back, but it sure beats hearing you whine about it.

Even the guy that actually broke it said it wasn't normal use, he stressed it on purpose. Ok yeah I can break a knife on purpose. so what does that mean? I have used a junglas a lot in normal use, battoning wood for a fire, cutting brush. HMmmmm tips still there. Of course I'm not going to hit it with a hammer or mallet, but hey thats just me. I also have used Busse knives and have no complaints of them breaking either, neither has my cr green beret, but I use them as knives.

take it easy

I want a knife that won't break in the first place......
I don't care if some Co. offers a great warranty.....

I like both brands and have both brands. cant we all just get along?????????????????????????????

Obviously not. It usually comes down to nay sayers and name calling. No matter what you like, if you defend it against stupidity and people bitching against any and all points, you are nothing but a "fanboy". Hope everybody finds what they like, besides being unhappy. I'm getting off this train wreck.

everything will break at a certain point. both brands are quality, and have excellent warranties. although i dont have any experience with busse knives im sure they perform well. but for the price, ESEE's are hard to beat.

as to strength, unless you beat your knife with a sledgehammer i dont think you would ever find either design weak.
