Camillus and Schrade of Old Given Short Shrift Now-A-Days

If I were the sort to name my knives, this Schrade Cut Co Walden NY might be named "Itchycoo Park", because "it's all too beautiful".

A beautiful old knife well cared for. A nice patina is also appreciated, and a knife like that should never be “cleaned” (cough cough ruined)!

Sometimes I like to carry this one around as a sort of pocket jewelry. It’s a bit too nice to use but not quite mint either. It’s carried in an appropriately nice leather pouch.

Some better pictures of the knife. It’s a beauty, and has some of the darkest peachseed bone I’ve seen.

Very special also.
Mine is my dedicated tweed jacket, impress the academic babes carry. Not much danger of wearing it out.

Paul, that one is a heart stopper! Absolutely great condition!

That’s a perfect description. Anyone know about when these were released?
IIRC (without looking anything up -always a good idea) Camillus bought Western around 1991 and went bankrupt around 2007, so sometime in that period. Again, IIRC (bad odds), I bought this Camillus made Remington for my Dad sometime in the mid/late '90's, which means the green/yellow delrin was in use then. So...I'm guessing mid/late '90's.

I found this at an antique mall recently, and I didn't even know this existed. I bought it because I thought it was unique and I love the shape of the turkish or california clip blade. It looks like a display knife. I did open it and the knife is like brand new, I'm not sure even when it was made or how old it is. I also like the staglon handles.
