Camillus and Schrade of Old Given Short Shrift Now-A-Days

This Schrade Old Timer 8OT has red bone handles and threaded bolsters; I bought it NOS seven years ago, still in a properly marked box. I've never been able to find out why it was made with red bone handles but no shield. OH

Because that's how they made all of those. I've seen grey bone samples too from the same era.
Someone needs to post up a 61ot. My favorite. I would, but imgur hates my device and I'm at work.. there was a 44ot posted up already, rare lady, there.. nice.
 
The 861 or 61OT is just such a great knife. Glad to see others love the pattern as much as me!
