stropper said:You're right, a more suitable comparison is Mick Strider/Paul Basal.
LOL your so far off base your not even on the field.
stropper said:Both of them were prepared to live a lie, just to sell knives.
One of them fabricated his own lies, the other allowed lies about him to be repeated for years and enjoyed the status they got him.
This makes your last statement
look even funnier then your first, silly human....stropper said:(And I'm probably still buying an SNG , go figure!)
stropper said:I hate the fact that BS sells knives.
Too many companies/knifemakers are mentioning their connections to the military or the units using their knives.
How many "official seal knives" do you know of ?
How many martial arts instructors, snipers, etc... actually had a hand in designing the knife that sports their name?
Do they think we're idiots?
And you said it not me.... but yes I do think that of you. EVERY KNIFE that is CO-DESIGNED is done with the knowledge and input from the person co-designing; non-disclosers and all the good legalese you can choke down. The only knife that I remember being signed by anybody other then Mick Strider or Duane Dwyer (owners of Strider Knives) Is the "Chuck Mawhinney" model sniper knife. (By the way the knife was actually made in honor of Mr. Mawhinney) Now did he know about that knife...? Hmmm well I did meet him once hanging out at the Strider Booth talking about the knife with convention goers, so I would figure that makes you look like and idiot.
Because if Chuck Mawhinney is not a good enough sniper for ya then you really are an IDIOT.
As for Paul Basal, I don't know him or his knives. I have seen some pretty hollywood looking advertisements from the company called BlackOps. But to my knowledge until you brought up his name he wasn't involved with this. As for Official SEAL Knives to my knowledge they were never delivered from MadDog so I guess there are not any of those either. I know, I know Strider made a SEAL 2000 knife.... I seem to remember a very large order of them going out a very long time ago and beside a few select pieces all of them went out of country and were not for sale to the general public. As for advertising well I have not seen a Strider paid for ad that promoted anything but, "HIGH SPEED TOOLS FOR A HARD CORE INDIVIDUALS" tm. Maybe a very hopped up individual would think the Strider name with flames and destruction and all kinds of nasties would make a great ad but neither Mick nor Duane do; they think the Knives should speak for themselves. Any pictures shown on their website are actual operators who VOLUNTEERED to do the shoot for the website and for magazines not published in the USA. Although come to think of it some of them might have been used over here..... been awhile back...
stropper said:Mick and Basal took that kind of deception even further.
Armchair warriors just ate it up.
(That's also the reason why probably 90% of all striders ever sold are still NIB and will remain that way.)
Ya know you are probably wrong on this one as well, I would say probably closer to 30% are safe pieces new in the box and all. Because the knives don't lend themselves to sit there, the knives dare you to try them and abuse them, they laugh at morons like you who whine about BS and then say oh but I will probably buy it anyway. Wah Baby buy the knife or don't but quit crying already.
SO AGAIN I WILL ASK WHY DO YOU CARE???? What do you want? Do you want Mick to jump and bow at your feet and say he's sorry? (DREAM ON JERKY)
As for me well I just enjoy watching you squirm.....
