can someone explain to me why there is a maxpedition boycott?

That is a fact. Strider does make some awesome knives.

I had plans of buying one....an SnG to be exact. I was floored when I found out about his record.

I am a very forgiving person and I personally do not wish anything bad against Strider. The friends that are defending him here are decent and good people.

Before I ever do business with Strider, I'll have to get past this one issue that has taken me by incredible surprise, and one which I may realize some day that I'm over-reacting to.

Dude,GET OVER IT!

BUY MORE STRIDERS!!!!!!!!

Okay, I need to set the record straight..

I am the guy that Mick carjacked. I'm still alive, and we are good friends now, as that is all in the past. Just a complete misunderstanding, and is really nobody's business.

Put this issue to bed, and try to act like independent thinking adults, if such is still possible.

Really!

I mean how do you know it was'nt a cover up by Uncle Sam........What if Mick was going on a really long covert operation and the Gov said "Hey go car jack someone,so it will look like your in jail instead of killing some much needed bad guy."

BUY MORE STRIDERS!!!!!!!

Well, the bottom line is that if Strider wasnt being featured on lots of magazine covers, getting bookoo military contracts, selling truckloads of knives, and blowing their competition out of the water, the inquisition never would have happened.

Each person has to decide for themselves where their knife dollars go. Strider knives will continue to get mine.

The way I see it, if a person does his time, pays the price, and then takes their life on a different course, changes for the better, becomes a better person, then they get my respect. For me, this goes for just about anything except child molestation.

Dave said it about as well as it can be, I agree with this 100%.

Mmmmmmmm, ranger geeen G10 Strider GBs with Tritium thumb studs.... :)

Edited for spelling.

This is really like a train wreck, at first your interested in the carnage, but after the 2nd replay on the nightly news, you feel for those that have been injured.

If you own a Strider knife go use it.

If you have a Custom Strider/Dwyer and don't use it, well your just LAME!!!!

As far and Mick committing other crimes, you are really reaching there.
You're right. That was an unfair and inappropriate comment by me. I will remove it.

Let's all sing along.....

This is the thread that never ends.
It just goes on and on my friends.
Someone started writing not knowing what it was,
and they'll continue writing it forever just because.
This is the thread that never.......

Well, this thread has been a long and interesting journey. My favorite part was where McClung reported his two years of sales at some retailers as five years as a professional soldier. That part was funny enough, but then he said that "five years" (spelled out f-i-v-e) was a typo and it should have been "two".

I could accept "twi", "teo" or "twp" as typos for "two". If he had used a numeral, I could even accept "5" as a typo for "2". But it's hard to type FIVE when you meant to type TWO. LOL, bannination from TF in five... four... three.. two... :D

RWS,

I am curious so I have a question. If you knew a guy for say 5-6 years and he was a great guy. You were best buddies and your families did stuff together all the time. You would trust him with your life.
Then one day you find out when he was young he committed a felony and went to prison. So now he is not your friend anymore??
I am a Pastor so do you think I should not let convicted felons that served there time join my church? Do they really not deserve another chance?

Maybe we need to start doing background checks before anybody joins the forums.

I am not wanting to be a jerk but I do not understand the logic that is being used. Of course I am another one of the new guys posting in this thread. What do I know. My blood is green.

I like to think that every man and woman can change. Sure am glad God gave me a second chance cause my past isn't exactly spotless.

Tony

I just ordered an anthropologist's knife, the Strider ED: a PT-sized fixed blade with a skeleton carved into the handle. Elegant. Intellectual. I am very pleased.

You all go on with the discussion now.

Pastor Tony, I sure as hell wouldn't let them join mine!

I'm Joking, Pastor Tony!

Of course you should give them a second chance.....and a third.....and a fourth.

I have to deal with this issue over time.

Nice post. :D We all make mistakes and I think it takes a man to admit them. And quit calling me Pastor Tony. :D

Just call me Tony

His point is probably before you judge the man at least talk to him and get his side.

Thanks. . . . . . . . . .but. . . . .I’m very capable of interrupting what was relayed.

Here’s what was stated. . . . .

And yet again somebody who has probably never dealt with or bought a Strider knife but likes to stir the pot....

Cliffy, since you’re acting at my seeing eye dog. . . . maybe you’d like to explain what he meant how purchasing a Strider knife is associated with the judgment of a person.

Yeah I thought that I had made it pretty apparent that I was kidding, A$$. :D (don't take me calling you an A$$ as a personal attack. Hell, I call my best friends the same thing if they say something stewpid too)

Yeah. . . .clear as mud. There’s an old saying. . . . .“thought” made a fool of himself. ;) I'm sure the "thought" club will welcome you with open arms. :D

ROTF No offense taken. Being called an asss, by you, is like receiving an insult from a 7th grader. All one has to do is consider the source. ;)

From looking at your previous posts I can't help but notice you really excell at ripping quotes from other posts and countering with pithy comments. While formulaic, it seems to work for you.

And a “posting method” critic to boot. How unimaginative. Congratulations on your accomplishment. :D

Then again, it's people like you who keep all that drama flowing. Whats a forum without it's crap-stirrer?

LMAO I see where you also excel at not paying attention. :D You're just full of surprises. :D

I think you are a little confised it was a really high speed low drag tactical equuipment retailer. See doesn't that change things completely? It was even funnier that he posted the name of the tactical equipment company....... Ninjaco, I kid you not! So you see it was an elite retailer of tactical equipment so that is the same as being a soldier right?

You are completely over blowing the typo thing too, you can't say it hasn't happened to you. Just the other day I meant to write a check for FIVE dollars and I accidentally wrote sixteen million three hundred eighty five thousand two hundred seventeen and no/100 ...... It really is a simple mistake, just a simple typo. Really!
