A rose by any other name...
How about if I switch from calling it "oatmeal" to calling it "nature's bounty breakfast stew"? :D:p
And yeah, by all means, get an Opinel!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

When I get to work I have a cup of coffee and then a second cup at around 7:07 AM and then at 9:00 AM I have a bowl of oatmeal... every work day :) My last check up, my good cholesterol was in "good" range for like the first time ever LoL

When I was in high school (48 years ago) my family drove from St. Louis to Red Lake in Saskatchewan, Canada, which is about 185 miles north of the US border. It was late July, and when we left St. Louis it was 98° with 85% humidity. When we got to our campsite at Red Lake the next evening, it was a heat wave for the area at 79°. The locals were layin' around half naked and burning up, and we all put sweaters on as dusk approached . . . it was chilly to us!
My best story along these lines was the time I drove from Naples, FL (90 Degrees, 90% Humidity) all the way to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for deer hunting season. In the span of 3 days, I went from 90 degrees and dipping in the pool, to sitting in my deer stand for 6 hours at 10 degrees o_O

I've got a batman statue in my office.
Of course my classroom and office are full of superhero and sci fi posters, statues, bobbleheads, ship models, etc. I'm a Dork.
No John your not a Dork, your an Enthusiast. I use to get along best with teachers who had stuff like that on their desks Way more than the ones with the clean sterile desk tops. It helped me connect with them easier somehow so let your freak flag fly. BTW it's a great time to be a dork with all these superhero movies coming out lately.

Smashing pic Randy :)

On Sundays I go to a great local Mexican restaurant and buy breakfast tacos. But you can drop by any time, Dave--just let me know you're on the way!
Very kind PJ, you never know,mid-winter Jan/Feb the frozen streets and -minus temperatures start to get a wee bit tedious.
A good ole SW breakfast might just be what the Doctor orders.:p:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yesterday I ordered an enameled cast iron dutch oven. From Lodge. Best rated/reviewed dutch oven for those not wanting to spend $300-$400 on a Le Creuset or a Staub. Should be here tomorrow. Can't wait.

I’d be curious to hear what you think after using it for a while. We’ve looked at both Le Creuset and Staub before, but never pulled the trigger because they’re so expensive. I didn’t even know Lodge made an enameled Dutch oven.

There are many enameled dutch oven manufacturers selling their products for under $100. Lodge is consistently the best rated/reviewed of the many. The 6Q Lodge I ordered was ~$60 shipped.

The postman just delivered the Lodge enameled dutch oven. Made in China. I'm pissed off.

The iron might be radioactive or the enamel might leech poison into my food. Lodge couldn't find a manufacturer in Korea, India, or elsewhere not known for dangerous products and poor QC? I may return it. Pisses me off! The People Republic of China is a far piece from South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

I'm with you. I wouldn't use it to cook either.

The reason Lodge does not make the enameled ones here has to do with the manufacturing process & the chemicals used & by-products produced.
The EPA regs put a halt to it so there are no plants in the US making them.
Bite the bullet & buy the French made one, it"s a lifetime investment you won't be sorry.
