You have to wear that shirt with bellbottoms, you know. ;)
That would be ideal, but I don't think I have any bellbottoms left. :(

That is one heck of a shirt. Looks good and warm. Be glad her birthday wasn't in July!
High class polyester, John, so it IS quite warm since it doesn't breathe or wick away sweat. I ended up walking a mile, quite briskly, to the bus stop tonight, but missed the bus by 50', so then I walked an additional mile to a different bus stop. I was sweating profusely when I got there, and I'm quite sure the shirt played a role in that.

GT, has your mom’s birthday ever coincided with a test day? That shirt with your “test tie” would be quite a combination! :D
Today was the only such day I can remember, Barrett!:D:thumbsup: I did not take a photo though. Maybe I should ask if any of my students happened to take one; they seemed quite impressed with the combo, even though I'd alerted them to the rare event earlier in the semester.

I think what we have here is the first ever Cowboy/Pirate shirt. Bless your mom for her creativity and craftsmanship.

When we evoke the PO, it is more than often in an unfavorable manner. I can't complain, living near an international airport is certainly a good factor. I have received this superb 85 as a BDay gift from my Son. Door to door it took 7 days. USPS/LaPoste did it!:thumbsup:

On dec 10th I ordered a baseball Tee shirt for the same (and only ;)) Son's Xmas gift. Not only did it take 20 odd days to GLS to deliver but the guy in the van phoned me he could not find a parking place (there was one just in front of my house, a second less than 30m further!), then wanted to put the parcel in the lift (it was supposed to be delivered in person).:thumbsdown:
USPS 1 - GLS 0 :)

Beautiful knife I'm sure you'll treasure JP, hope you have a very Happy Birthday :) 7 days is pretty good

Belated Happy Birthday, JP!!
Nice #85 - your son knows what the "old man" needs!! Not that you are old!!!:D
Thank you! My birthday was mid october but my son ordered something (still a secret) seemingly on the bay from a nt serious vendor, so he changed and had to wait the new 85! :D Not a problem to me, I'm so happy with all that!:D

Good call, John; the Western styling with the nautical fabric is quite unique.

...
Hey, that's a nice shirt GT! :)
Thanks, Jack. :) The pic is actually from a year ago (note the belt instead of suspenders ;)), but the annual sentiment is the same.

I'd hate to think what Kramer would have to say about the shirt I wore today. November 29 was my mother's birthday, and on that date each year, in her memory, I wear this shirt she once made for me (unsolicited ).

I remember that you posted that pic last year.

Great present JP that's one gorgeous knife.

This year I've done all my Christmas shopping online and it's all been delivered, wrapped and under the tree so no hectic mad dash for me this year. I don't really drink alcohol but this time of year sends me out for a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream for my coffee and Dewers Scotch for visitors and that is also done.
This time last year I found myself homeless, broke and sleeping in my car until my kids found out and I starting staying with them. It's amazing how much difference a year can make and I'm so thankful to be in my little apartment with all the things for Christmas done and I'm happy.

Thank you Randy!
I always appreciate your optimistic way of seeing things. Past events have shown that even if the heaviest rests on your shoulders, you're not alone! I'm sure it's gonna be a wonderful Christmas for you and family.

Randy, you are a special guy my friend :) Wishing you every happiness

This is a non-sequitur here, but it follows a diet-and-exercise derailment of the lambsfoot thread.

Let's see- I stopped walking summer of '17. I stopped the dumbbells some time ago when my shoulder wouldn't stop clicking, and I neglected to switch back to the Indian clubs before winter. (It was an awfully hot summer. Not much exercise mowing the lawn either.) I had done the clubs for years, a 20-minute sweat-raising routine scientifically designed to exercise every muscle, but I had a higher ceiling in Lansing.
Walking seemed to do a lot of good quickly; I could feel the muscles climbing up my back.

So, here's my plan. Start doing Pa Kua again, start walking again, and get back into yoga via the surya namaskar (a warm-up that constitutes a workout in my reduced state). Work up to spear-throwing and sword-swinging eventually. I will start today and fool the anti-bodies by using Advent for Lent.

Well I broke about all of my knife buying rules last night when I was perusing the exchange.
Rule 1 never use credit for a knife if you can't pay it off don't buy it.
Rule 2 Stay in the Traditional knives for sale section only.
Rule 3 Never pay more than $150 for a knife
Rule 4 Never spend more than $150 in a single month
Rule 5 STAY AWAY FROM CHRIS REEVE KNIVES.
So I guess I have a Mnandi on it's way. :eek::eek::eek:

I have managed to avoid CRK for a long while due to the price. I’m always thinking a custom would be better, but those mnandis are sooo nice!
