Looks a lot better than the flat brims!

I could always go for the "Japanese Little League" A-frame look. o_O

AKA the Quint-from-Jaws look. :D

Bet you'd look good in a fedora. Of course, you should wear a suit with it.

Physically speaking, I'm more of a Jake than an Elwood. And while John Belushi could pull that look off, I think I end up looking more like Oliver Hardy in a hat like that. ;)

The central heating broken Will?! ;) :D

I wear ball caps in the summer, flat caps in the winter. If it gets very hot I might wear a straight-brimmed hat, and if it gets very cold, I wear something I can pull over my ears. Yesterday, when it was cold here, I wore my Elmer Fudd hat! :D

Looking good, Jack!  Does that hat have ear flaps that tuck up inside it?

When I was a lad, I frequently had hats with earflaps that could be folded up or down that I wore when doing chores on the dairy farm during the winter. I spent most of the time in the barn and milk house, but had to go outside for some tasks. (We also pretended we were airplane pilots when we had those hats, running around with our arms out to our sides and yelling, "Flaps UP!" of "Flaps DOWN!")

But that Stormy Kromer, I don't know... I'm to a point in my life's journey where my shoe laces sometimes present a challenge; adding laces to my hat just seems like asking for trouble!;)

Hey, I spent some time after church sweeping the driveway so the sun could work its magic!:thumbsup: And thanks for mentioning your balaclava - I have one and always call it my "ninja hood" because I can neither pronounce nor spell "balaclava".:cool:

GT, I was admiring the picture you posted of you "ninja hood" the other day. I've struggled finding something that I like for keeping my face/neck warm when it's really cold out, because I find a lot of balaclava-type garments to be too constrictive (which is likely to keep me from putting them on when I really should). Yours looked to be a little more loose fitting (and I like that it fits over your regular ball cap ).

Super Blood Moon tonight. Lunar eclipse of a super moon. And there's not a cloud in the sky here.
I wish we could see it. It's been snowing for 24 hours plus now and I don't it's going to stop in time for a sighting.

Now THAT's a fedora!

I'm the opposite. I buy a new cap that i like and wear it every day for about a year. When it gets too beat up and nasty, I retire it to the closet and buy a new one. I get used to one hat and then nothing else feels quite right.

I used to keep my old caps to wear when I was decorating...like that's going to happen!:D

I know Winterbottom was the name of the fella that invented the jigging pattern that carries his name. But kinda cool that the pattern looks like wind blown snow in plowed bottom land. View attachment 1058015

I don't know maybe its just me

Speaking of hats, I did an inventory. Got 2 hats, a Greek fisherman's cap, about 20 baseball caps, and something from Wisconsin. ;)

Those cheeseheads are hilarious! :D Cool pics Vince

Thanks Barrett :D It does, though even with the ear-flaps 'up', I would only wear a hat like that when it is very cold, I like my tweed cap too much! :D

I used to have a fedora just like that as a kid (pinched it from my dad), used to wear it out in the woods. Wish I still had it :) I do have a black fedora, but have only worn it to a music-themed fancy-dress party - I went as Mac The Knife - Rat Pack suit, black fedora, HUGE Bowie knife! :D

Stayed up for the eclipse, pretty cool moon looked like a new penny. sky was very clear here. Stars also looked very brilliant, and as a bonus I saw a shooting star. Good show

it got cloudy here around 3 PM - and then cleared off around 3 AM , so I missed the eclipse.

It rained all night. I went out and checked a few times, but the weather was clouding the moon.

I couldn't see you in it Vince ;) :D
Well, you know, I'm a shareholder. I believe the Green Bay Packers are the only publicly owned major league sports franchise. They've offered stock only 3 or 4 times, and only once or twice in my lifetime. Last time was about 8 years ago, and I bought a share. Stan Kroenke, Jerry Jones, and I are all NFL owners.

Good stuff Vince
