One of the benefits of remote work is that I can hear the birds singing. I
particularly enjoy the song of the Carolina Wren, which I call the “cheeseburger bird”. Before you write me off as a complete loon, allow me to present the following videos as explanation:

Tom I can't believe you have a bird you call the "cheeseburger" bird because I have one too... there is a certain call that chickadees make that sounds to me like it is saying "cheeeese-burger... cheeeese-burger" LoL. Check it out. And even funnier, when I got in my normal spot tonight to snap some pictures of a Camillus barlow I just got in... I looked up and saw this little guy right in front of me :D

The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is sliced up in certain parts by the "time zone" line and anytime I hear about people's issues with the time change, I think back to when I was still in high school. My high school was a 30 minute drive from my house, but I would cross a time zone line to get there. So when I left home it was Eastern Time Zone and when I got to school it was Central Time Zone. I would leave home at 8:30 AM and I would get to school at 8:00 AM... negative 30 minutes :D Going home was a bummer though cause it took an hour and a half o_O At least on the clock anyway LoL. It was always a pain to make plans with my buddies or girlfriends because you always had to specify "my time" or "your time". But it really became second nature and just part of normal conversation. I also stayed in someone's house one time that the time zone line literally went through the middle of their house. Being on the far western border of the Eastern Time Zone was really strange too... in June you could still see some light in the sky at 11:00 PM.

White Winged Doves say "Huevos rancheros!"

Amazing!
Clearly gastronomy and ornithology are more closely linked than I had imagined. I believe this warrants further investigation.

Gee, it's been quiet here.
Fingers crossed for the 56th International Congress on Medieval Studies really happening this year.

Too bad there's no Sunday morning session. I find those a nice, peaceful, melancholy ending. 459 scheduled sessions isn't bad, considering.
[Duh. It's all virtual, of course. Better than nothing, and probably the shape of things to come.]

Working at home since last June and I've become accustomed to watching "Gunsmoke" during my lunch break... heard this exchange today and had to chuckle:

GUY: I've killed 3 men Marshal and don't regret none of 'em.

MARSHAL DILLON: I'm sure that'll impress the jury.

So many great one-liners :D

Had the second shot.

Maybe I shouldn't have.

Got the shot down at the VA yesterday, and didn't feel bad at bedtime. Then I got up this morning. Maybe I shouldn't have done that either. Man, talk about aches! Even my hair hurts when I toweled off after the shower. And its sooooo weird, aside from general aches, everything I ever broke and have some arthritis issues with, hurts way more today. And talk about headaches! I've had hangovers that make this look mild. A couple Tylenol and a good stone cut of tea, and I feel a little better. A little.

I think I'll just go back to bed and try again tomorrow.

All in all, I guess its better than a ventilator tube down my gullet.

It certainly is!!

I hope you feel better. I had my second shot last Thursday. Woke up Friday morning with a headache and body ache. Slept most of the day and felt fine on Saturday.
I'm glad you both got off better than most!!

Was it B brewbear who told us which NSAID to take for the second shot malaise? I forgot which one, of course. And drink lots of water.
Not sure if I am the one you remembered but yes , Tylenol or advil (ibuprofen) after the second shot will help. Taking any of them beforehand will weaken the vaccine. I took a total of three advils, one every six hours and drank a lot of water. Most will recommend taking Tylenol first and if that doesn't work take advil. Hope this helps and you feel better soon.
