Thought some of you guys might like to see a picture of this candlestick-holder made from a shell casing in a WW1 trench in 1916

Duane: Future will jugde me... however, I´ll try my best :) Thanks for the kind words...

VCM3: Prayers sent from my part of the world... sorry to hear about that!

Whatever you all are doing please keep doing it. I do not want to speak too soon but we received good reports on his situation, despite a long time period of CPR,his MRI showed no damage to his brain according to the doctors.I'll surely let you all know, this is a very touchy situation. He remains in an induced coma but there is hope & miracles are working . I told my wife from the get go he'd be OK ,I just know the young man, he's a strong one.

Thank You All,from us here

Vince,
this is a strong community made of strong people who can send strength all over the world.
More prayers from across the pond.

Fausto

My thoughts are with you and that poor young lad Vince.

Jack

Prayers sent once more, Vince! I hope he´ll be up soon.

I´m sure, he´s a young, strong man who can win the challenge... He will make it!

I picked up this photo for a £1 or so from Fort William museum in the Scottish Highlands a few years ago. It looks to me like this determined bunch of gentlemen are about to 'have it' with some sassenachs, but in fact they're about to set off on the annual Ben Nevis fell race. The photo is taken around 1900. I sometimes kid people that one of the fellers is my grandfather!

VCM3, prayers and good thoughts on here, and from family and friends, helped save my butt after that accident. I am astonished at the rate of healing. My leg hurts like heck in this nasty weather Baltimore has been having this morning, my back hasn't been too vocal these past couple of days. Been without the cane for the past week. Still can't lift anything, still have a hard time with balance and getting around like I used to. Prayer, smoke and good thoughts work. I will keep praying.
